The apartment is beautifully renovated and decorated, with lots of light and plenty of space. I didn't realize from the ad, but it has a piano which is tuned and an awesome surprise! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve, plus all sorts of little extras. The building is clean with friendly staff.
The location is excellent - five minutes to the Pantheon, and five minutes to Trastevere, with a small grocery half a block from the apartment, which had everything I could have needed. A busy neighborhood, but not in the heart of the crowds which are only a few m minutes walk away, and yet an abundance of places to eat, shop and see. It felt safe at night.
The outdoor terrace is gorgeous. Views, beautiful sitting areas and an outdoor shower. It is literally next to the bell tower of the church adjacent to the building, and they do chime every so often, which are not quiet, but amazing. I've never seen something like that so close and I loved the experience. From inside the apartment, they just sound like normal lovely church bells.
Overall, this was one of the nicest homes I have rented, and more beautiful than any hotel room that would have cost 3 or 4 times as much (or more).
I can't wait to return to Rome, and I know exactly where I will stay! Thanks to Juno for being a perfect host, she was organized, on time to meet me, totally accessible and very kind and friendly.
FIVE STARS!!
Mille Grazie!!
