Hôtel Saavedra, Moalboal

« I loved the uniqueness of this property. My friends and I had two huts. And I loved that aspect. The pool was medium size. But we seemed to be the only ones in it when we wanted to use it anyway. The place had a local vibe to it. If you want an off the beaten path…no kidding cause you need to go down a very uneven dirt road to access the place…vs staying at a resort that has no character this is the place for you. Lots of goats come to the property. A kitten and a couple dogs live there. And the...

« Hey, the welcome was amazing, and they helped with bags to the room)) The beach is really nice and warm, with loads of BBQ restaurants on the beach, and they're very cheap. The hotel has it own beach restraunt which is very good value for money)) The room it's self is large and spacious. I would recommend this hotel, felt very safe as the resort has it own security )) »

« The place along the beach is OK. Staff is OK. The rooms are old smells bad. The mattress is covered by plastic. There is no place to relax in the room. Even no complimentary water. The car park is in the middle of the place just in front of the bungalow. The wooden floor is broken and noisy. The door for the bathroom is also noisy. We think that the place was nice 15 years ago but now it is in very bad condition. The food is good but expensive due to the taxes. You pay more than 100 pesos for...

« Generally okay for backpackers or budget travelers, as long as you don’t have a bug phobia. The rooms were relatively clean, although the white towels were stained. The AC worked really well. The beach and the beach bar were really nice and the suset view was amazing! We stayed for one night and had five rooms — all of them had huge (I mean 4+ cm) cockroaches, spiders, or both. There wasn’t any proper bug spray available at the time. Would I stay here again? I could, depending on my budget...
