I am very unhappy with this rental and my experience with Fripp Island Resort. We have been coning to Fripp and using VRBO for well over 10 years and this has been the worst experience, ever. On day two of our stay, the AC went out in the unit. We contacted the number provided for issues immediately and did not have any satisfactory help until well over 24 hours. We were finally moved to another unit late Sunday afternoon due to lack of availability. We understood this and knew that it was going to be hard over a holiday weekend but the fact that we had to call over them over 7x to get satisfactory results is inexcusable. We lost a full day of our vacation dealing with this situation and were forced to sleep on a couch downstairs due to the heat upstairs in our unit on Saturday night. Initially Fripp Island Resort, sent out a maintenance guy who said the air wasn't broken. Meanwhile, the condo AC was set at 71 and the temperature in the condo was between 79-80 degrees. Later they sent out a window unit which was put in the kitchen, then another for the guest bedroom. Finally on Sunday they sent out an HVAC guy who said he fixed the AC but did not. Finally after another maintenance guy arrived and the temperature remained at 80 inside, he confirmed to Fripp Island Guest Services that yes the air was indeed broken. The hassle and loss of vacation time ruined a very expensive vacation. The property manager was to call on Monday- we checked out today and no call!
