Hotel Saltburn-by-the-Sea

« What a lovely place, we hired a beautiful Bell tent for 2 nights. It was set up with all the essentials on our arrival. The plot had plenty of space around to set up bbq room and room for kids to play. The site, washrooms and kitchen were like new, very well maintained regularly cleaned. I have a pet allergy so the no pets policy was a great bonus here for me too. We had a great time and will book again. Thank you. »

« Clean, tidy, lots of fresh linen, towels and kitchen well stocked with facilities. Decoration little tired in need of patching and painting as scuffed in parts. Bathroom totally unsuitable for 4 and impractical-roll top bath difficult to get in & out of to shower. No lock on bathroom door and sink unsuitable as so small couldn’t use it to wash as there was shelf above it. General appearance of entrance and hallway poor bags of laundry stored there but once inside great »

« We have stayed here before two years ago so we’re aware in March it can be cold in the cottage - which it was-so the log burner is a big plus. Kitchenware had a fine layer of dust over it so we had to wash everything before use, which was disappointing. But overall the location, character and charm made up for it with easy access to The Cleveland Way walking trail - which we were doing. Also good bus service. »

« Lovely apartment. Large rooms, well furnished. It’s over shops/cafe but we didn’t have late night noise. We had top floor - so not suitable for those with mobility issues. But well located in town centre, minutes from station and sea front. »

« This is a lovely, clean, tastefully decorated cottage so close to the front. Well equipped although I’d have loved a fresh coffee maker not a pod machine. I walked with my cup of tea down to the sea each morning. It was fantastic. »

« Lovely house, but single glazed windows make traffic noise a problem. More annoyingly is the undeclared security deposit, of which they keep £10 of as ‘admin fee’. Felt like a shady way of charging an extra tenner. Shame because the house was nice, but the admin fee left a bad taste with me for not being transparent at booking. »
