Hotel Samoa Point

« Toilests are filty and run down the bathrooms have no proper shower and hot water .Cochroches everywhere no eating utensils no sheets on the bed only tiny blanket. Power points arent working, fan turn on no control full blast only. To make matters worst the care taker cant speak English French or Bishlama only Chinese just wondering where this care taker came from.We need someone to communicate with. The only one good thing there was the friendly security and the house keeping lady who...

« Lovely and quiet at night. Beach right there. Quick food service. »

« The room is nice but there are some (recurring) issues with this hotel. The cable TV does not work. There is septic tank smell coming up through the drain pipes. There was no phone in the room (and they failed to bring it despite 3 seperate requests). The maid service is uneven (leave things in the trash, forget to put back towels, etc.). Its OK for Port Vila as long as you pay less than 15 000 Vatu per night for your room. »

« The waterfront restaurant is in a nice setting and the view is nice. The lagoon is dirty though, so fine for kayaking but not swimming. The duplex apartment was run down. The TV very small. The remote control disgusting. The aircon is in the living room. The aircon in the room does not work. You would not sit on the couches that are beyond stained. The floor is dirty. No blankets, just sheets. The mattress and bed is all caved in. There is no housekeeping and no one even swaps out towels or...

« For our first time in Vanuatu we managed to book 2 nights here before moving over to Port Vila for the remainder of our trip. The transfer from the airport to the banana boat and then welcome to the hotel was great after a delayed flight. If you have mobility issues, this probably isn’t the place for you as you’ll need to manage your bags on a floating pontoon. The staff are all incredible and so kind. We checked in to villa 2 and while we booked through Expedia, we were sent a text long...

« Cosmetically fixed but not well. Sloppy paint job. A large portion of the louvers are broken and can't be closed. The aircon is useless because the bungalow has all open windows. The safe didn't work. The fridge was dirty. You can hear all the next door bungalows as they have all been crowded onto a limited piece of land. The actual beach at the end of the land is nice and clean with nice space to swim. »

« Loved everything about our stay! We only had five nights. Wish it had been more. Anne, Petter and staff were so welcoming and the care and small touches make it a special place. I did my PADI recertification while I was there. So pleased to be back diving again. If you want wonderful snorkelling straight off the beach, home-cooked meals using fresh local produce, an intimate setting, clean, spacious and comfortable accommodation and a chance to experience the real Vanuatu this is the place for...
