Thanksgiving

The location was perfect; a block from the bay and a block from the ocean. A short walk to Belmont Park. The cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed for our Thanksgiving meal and for the beach!

Beautiful place, cozy and comfy and so close to the water!

Loved this property! It was beautiful inside and out. Extremely well-stocked kitchen. Really nice bathroom. Comfortable beds with enough room for our six-person family. Loved the outdoor space with the fire pit and outdoor dining table. Soooo close to both the bay and the ocean. The master closet was big enough to put the pack n play in to have our toddler sleep in (the closet door was left open). The parking space was easy to access and plenty large for our minivan. We had a fantastic stay!

Perfect Spot on Mission Beach

We had a great time with our four boys. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a beach vacation including beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. We loved eating out on the patio each night and appreciated the AC. We hope to stay here again in the future.

South Mission Beach Cottage

Amazing stay! House was perfect for a family of four. Check in was a breeze. House was fully stocked with all amenities and the location was ideal. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet location but easily accessible to all destinations in and around San Diego.

Ideal

First ocean experience for our little girl ,7, perfectly between the big waves and beach and the bay for the 2 year old. All walking. Lots of beach extras-chairs, board, kayak, toys, wagon…it was there. Loved the bungalow style and old Cali vibes. Classy but touchable.

Three "fixes" from a Five-Star rating for us.

First of all, the most important features of this property are top-notch. It is clean, well-stocked, & in an ideal location. You can walk to the Bay in under a minute & be on the shore of the Pacific with a slightly longer stroll. Management was responsive & addressed the only minor concern we had right away. (door lock wasn't responding) I will be the first to acknowledge that my suggestions for improvements are shaded somewhat due to my age. They are meant to be constructive nonetheless. My wife & I are 70 years old & we take our granddaughter to the beach every year. First, there is VERY little space between the fireplace & the couch. This is primarily due to block hearth which is very low, easy to overlook and trip over (as mentioned by one other reviewer) & serves no useful purpose I can think of. It could be taken out to prevent a serious fall. We put a dining room chair at each end to make us go around. Next, the couch needs to be replaced (also mentioned by another reviewer). It is very low to the ground and seems to be worn out because it offers no support. My wife & I sat on pillows (which are provided) to make it work but it is very uncomfortable. Lastly, the mattress on the larger bed in the second bedroom needs replacing. I don't know if it is worn out as well or it just came that way. It makes noise when you move on it & it offers little if any support. Younger guests may not find these to be of concern but they can be easily remedied for those who might.

Couldn't Ask for a Better Location

Loved the location of this property. It was cozy with our 3 kids, but not uncomfortable. Communication with the property manager was top notch. Nicely stocked kitchen as far as utensils and cookware goes. We would definitely consider this property again if we were back in the area.

San Diego Get Away

We had a lovely time in San Diego and this was the perfect little place for our family. Close to the beach, downtown, and area attractions. The home was clean, kitchen stocked with cooking supplies, and the owner was attentive. I appreciated the note left by the owner of best places to eat at and things to do near by.

Perfect Location!

So close to the bay and the beach! Belmont Park was right around the corner and cute shops and restaurants were just a bike ride away. We could get to the airport, zoo, and various of other tourist spots within minutes. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and everyone we ran into was friendly!

Amazing hidden gem

One of the first times that the listing does not give this property justice! Beautiful neighborhood, waking distance from beach, food, grocery, bars and so much more. Owner is amazing! Will definitely be back!!

Great boutique rental in awesome location to beaches!

This property is great! Very comfortable and luxury bedding, nice upgrades, and amenities. The location is wonderful, a stones throw to the quiet bay, perfect for kayaking and a quick hop over to the ocean. We had our 4 yr old with us, who was most impressed with the water dispenser on fridge LOL. Wonderful outdoor space as well. We would love to stay again!!!

Nice but some drawbacks

Nice property overall. Was directly in flight path for airport which created a decent amount of noise. Walls in property were also very thin limiting privacy between bedrooms. Also walking through living room was very tight with limited space between fireplace and couch (we had several falls caused by this). I did enjoy being able to walk to beach/bay/Belmont Park. Good overall atmosphere.

Great place.

We enjoyed our stay. Management was always available. Oddly enough the TV picture went out while we were there. Which never happens!! I was able to text them about it and they replaced it in two hours!! Not that we were to watch TV, but it's nice that they had it covered. It was so nice to be able to go so many great places then have such a relaxing place to retreat to. I would highly recommend this place!

Fun week

We just stayed here for a week and had a great time. The property is clean and very well maintained. It definitely has the beach cottage feel. The host was easy to contact and very responsive. Being so close to both the bay and the beach was great for our family. The parking is tight but fit our rental mini van just fine. We had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay.

Perfect getaway

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway. It’s the cutest little beach house that was in the perfect location and a quiet neighborhood! Short walk to the beach and restaurants and everything you could need…beach chairs, umbrella, towels, boogie boards! I would highly recommend staying here!!
