Everything about the Catamaran exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walk in you are encompassed by the presence of a rainforest. Immediately upon checking in with the front desk you enter the campus filled with luscious trees/greenery, wild life (ducks, parrots, koi fish, etc.), and sunshine due to the wide open air. The suites are absolutely stunning and I highly recommend getting a room right on the sand with steps away from the bay waterfront. Will be back again and again and AGAIN!

The facility is old and is not worth the price AT ALL. The cleaning was very bad. Hair in the sink, bugs in the bathroom, sheets that smelled like marijuana… The staff is friendly though, very nice access to the beach. The gym is amazing for a hotel gym though, the best point of the property. After reading reviews, it seems I stayed in what customers call “ the tower of terror”, I can confirm it is. I could hear everything that was happening in the room next to me, constant noises in the hallway, LOUD noises day and night. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for the price. It seems that there are renovated rooms but I guess I did not get lucky…

We liked the location and beautiful grounds. Our room was a bit dated and very noisy. It was a nice surprise to have housekeeping everyday, which you don't see much anymore.

We had construction above us all day for the duration of our five day stay. From power tools to hammering, jack hammering, it was less than relaxing. We weren’t informed of the construction, we were denied the ability to move rooms, and we weren’t offered any compensation for the inconvenience. The only plus was the free arcade that my kids enjoyed.

Beautiful grounds! Quiet! Do not stay in the tower or pool room- people we talked to said they were horrible. My room ground garden was lovely. Few gripes but all in all a fun family vacation! I would only recommend this property to families with children.

This property is in need of a full remodel. However, the staff is super nice, accommodating, and professional. Daily housekeeping. The property upkeep is good. The resort its is beautiful and maintained by the staff well. The room we stayed in had a leak from upstairs that saturated part of the carpet which was annoying. The shower temperature fluctuated from cold-burning hot at the same lever point whihc is frankly dangerous for some. The walls were thin and you could hear everything outside your room and those walking around the resort. We also had some teenagers play a prank on our room in the middle of the night by banging on our doors (with do not disturb on) and screaming down the halls. Not the resorts fault for this 1 but a bad experience nonetheless.

This resort has terrific amenities and a stellar location. It needs a serious facelift though. Very dated and shabby in places. The front desk staff was not particularly friendly. The spa is excellent, as is the gym, the restaurant and the bayside location.

Great 3 day weekend stay, food at Oceana was great. Coffee and smoothies at little coffee shop inside hotel was great also. The Greene smoothie was delicious. Will definitely be staying again. Everything was close in walking distance.

Rooms were nothing like advertised! Very outdated room & bathroom….smelt old and musty, dirty bathtub and drain did not work, TV in a horrible spot to the side, and room was extremely over priced!!! Will never stay here again and will not recommend this resort to friends.
