I had a very comfortable stay at Jennifer's guest house. It was great for me because it was in the same neighborhood as the friend I was visiting . The bed is king size and very comfortable. Some nice touches were the Keurig coffee machine and pods as well as the wine in the fridge! It was very quiet as well . No difficulty parking in the street and the driveway was available as well. Would definitely stay again!

I’ve stayed in numerous VRBO properties and I have to say this was hands down the best equipped! The host had absolutely everything you need and then some. The host is very responsive.I will make this my place to stay in future visits. The neighborhood is beautiful and very walkable.Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

Owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive. We were very comfortable and had everything we needed. Perfect place in a perfect location.

Wow!

Jennifer has the most well appointed room I have ever stayed in. Food and drinks in the frig, tons of current books on the shelves and soft TP! She was an attentive host, too, making for a great stay.

Very comfortable, garden studio apartment in a separate dwelling from the main house in a very quiet neighborhood. My wife and I enjoyed the clean accommodations, the comfortable bed, and beautiful garden. Refrigerator came stocked with seltzer water, a bottle of wine, and the host left out snacks and plenty of coffee pods. The host, who lives on the premises, was very welcoming and caring. Hope to be back soon!

Best place ever

I absolutely loved every minute at Jennifer's and wish we had found it sooner (we've spent a lot of time in San Diego) and had more time there this trip. It's a beautiful, quiet, cozy, very clean and comfortable little cottage! I hated to leave. It's really perfect.

Great Weekend Retreat

We couldn't have had a better stay...Jennifer's cottage is perfect for a weekend in San Diego...clean with everything you might need. And Jennifer is there to help as needed. And her cute dogs were a pleasure to be around. We'll definitely plan to be back again!

Excellent Space

Location was perfect for exploring San Diego. Host provided a wonderful assortment of snacks and drinks. We did not make use of the outdoor space, but it looked lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Cozy guest house with nice little garden for my dog and me if it had been warmer weather. Owner is wonderful. Supplied everything I needed including treats for me and my dog. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Wonderful Stay

Both the guest house and surrounding grounds/yard were very quiet, comfortable and welcoming. Everything was provided for a 'just like home' experience. Special touches including a welcome basket with an assortment of goodies and various beverages in the fridge were the icing on the cake. The host went above and beyond on every level: - always responsive, helpful and accomodating. I already have my next stay lined up! Kensington is a beautiful/safe neighborhood and the quality of my experience was enhanced by the location. This property is a rare find - enjoy!

DISAPPOINTING STAY

Trouble communicating with owner re: temperature control,No TV cable service.No instructions on operating portable cook top. Bed very uncomfortable,slopes down from middle, pillows very hard.Shower not constant temperature,fluctuates from cold to hot to cold. On morning of last day woke to find small ants crawling on table. Very confined space. Would never book here again. Property looks much nicer in online listing as compared to reality.

Kensington Casita

This is such a nice place with a beautiful yard in a charming, quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and other shops. Jennifer is very welcoming and gracious. I appreciated the coffee, fresh fruit and other treats she provided. The two adorable Westies were an added bonus. Relaxing and comfortable best describes my stay.

Quaint cozy stay

My mom and I planned a little getaway to SD & wanted to find a safe, central location to stay in where we could easily access freeways to get to most of the attractions.. the guest house was stocked with goodies, towels, coffee, books, etc. Jennifer was available for any questions or concerns that came up.. the king bed was quite comfortable with fluffy pillows, slept like a rock!! The yard is privately owned, fenced & a great place to have morning cup of coffee.. overall we really enjoyed our stay here..thanks much for the recommendations to "good food" in the area! Her pup was super sweet & got along so well with my pup.. thank you for welcoming us into your home! 🏡🌞🏝🐕😎

Nice, but not private

I will start with saying a different type of guest would have a different experience than we did, but we booked this property because it was advertised as "very private" and the picture supports the advertised privacy. The yard was lovely and would have been enjoyable, but it was not disclosed that it is a shared back yard with little to no privacy. The studio is very cute, but cramped with too much stuff. We did not book this as a vacation but rather needed someplace to stay for a few days so without the option to enjoy the back yard or even keep our door open it felt very confining. There was no space in the studio to eat other than on the bed or in sling type chairs, not ideal for eating when you are half reclined. If the door was open the house dog was free to wander in to the space. The internet was inconsistent, we had to use our own hotspots for working, and we could not get through an entire tv show/movie without it freezing up.

Wonderful guest house in Kensington

We had a 2 night stay recently and found the guest house to be perfect for us. Our dogs were right at home and Jennifer was a wonderful host. Highly recommend.

quiet, cute, comfortable

good size studio with a comfortable bed, simply decorated, and a newly remodeled bathroom. TONS of books to read, as well as 100's of dvds to watch. snacks & wine waiting for us, along with a note to contact if needed, was appreciated. super easy check in, no issues requiring host contact, there is street or driveway parking, beautiful yard, bbq available, private. walking distance (maybe a mile?) to adams blvd with a lot of restaurants & nice bars. def will stay here again.

Quiet place that has everything you need

Fantastic little neighborhood, very quiet. The gate was a little clunky getting in and out but the owner was working on a fix. You can park in the driveway but I found street parking plentiful. The space had everything I could need or want. It’s a studio apartment but doesn’t have that feeling. There’s a couple of lounge chairs inside, the large bed is quite comfortable, and the bathroom has a great shower. The backyard is super cute and a nice place to hang out. I will definitely come back.
