We stayed here a year ago. We liked it so much we booked again this year. The location is fantastic, close to restaurants and shopping. The guesthouse is really cute and homey. The neighborhood is safe and quiet.

Luci was lovely, the neighbourhood very walkable and with many handy conveniences such as food trucks, coffee shop and liquor store. The highlight was Luci’s beautiful lemon tree and having daily refreshing lemon drinks. The only thing I can think of as a bonus would be to have a little area to sit outside for coffee and happy hour.

Apartment was exactly as advertised, but nicer. I have traveled around the country and when I say this was the most clean, neatest place I've stayed. Quiet, in nice neighborhood. Walking distance to restaurants, laundry mat, wine store, etc. Any dish or pan you will every need, you can find in the kitchen. I will say again, the place is spotless. Extra linen, covers is availabile. Believe I may have said hi to the owner, who I found lives next door. Short distance from downtown, zoo, sea world and Navy Base. Will book again for sure. Thank you, to the owners!!

The property is neat, well-equipped and located in a nice neighborhood, close to the things to do in the area. What a comfortable bed, especially after a full day of activities! We visit San Diego now and then, and will be happy to stay here again.

Charming Apartment, Great Neighborhood

I had a wonderful stay here! Luci is a wonderful host, super accommodating and friendly and has lived in the neighborhood for decades. I appreciated the local recommendations in the guest book! The location really can't be beat, it's extremely walkable to tons of great food and shopping options, Balboa Park, etc. The apartment is spacious, clean, and retains its original charm while everything has been updated and well maintained. It was also much bigger than I had anticipated, I think two or three people could stay very comfortably here. I'm looking forward to future stays here!

My stay was divine! I honestly didn’t want to leave! All was sublime including the host the VRBO itself and the location! Walking distance to everything you need, easy to find for ride shares. Clean! Cosy! Convenient! I miss it already!

Adorable upstairs apartment

We loved our stay in South Park. The apartment was perfect for the two of us, and the neighborhood had restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Luci was a wonderful host and very attentive. I highly recommend it and would stay here again.

Clean & quiet

I had a great stay. The apt was quiet and clean. The host lives next door and is very welcoming. A Target with groceries is just 2 blocks away and so many great brunch spots and restaurants in walking distance. Easy parking too! I will certainly stay again. Thank you!!

The VRBO was very convenient to everything we did while in San Diego. We enjoyed our visit and would come to this place again. Loved the lemon tree sighting from the kitchen window!

San Diego South Park Carriage Haus

This mid century apartment is well furnished, well stocked and delightful! We were very comfortable in our short stay. The street parking was easy and the neighborhood is very walkable for food, drinks and shopping. I would stay here again.

Like being at grandmas house

Thank you Lucy for this stay. Overall great place with some minor hiccups. The neighborhood is quiet and Lucy was quite communicative to welcome us as well as providing information about the television and internet that has just been hooked up. Her agent Aaron sent us info about groceries that could be delivered prior to our stay. You have to do it within 24 hrs though. That's a fun fact. There is a full kitchen at this home with everything you need to cook. Salt, pepper, some vinegar, oil, coffee left by previous renters was there. Lots of opportunity to eat at the many restaurants and food trucks in the area. A small Target and 7-11 is one block down the street. Everything convenient. This home is old but charming. I grew up in a home that would squeak every time you walk. This one did too. The shower has powerful. Just watch how you turn on the hot water.....it's scorching HOT! Air conditioning was great however I'm not sure if the thermostat is correct. 77 degrees felt like 65. Lucy had the television fixed the next day as she had checked on it after being serviced. The bed was quite uncomfortable. Both my partner and I woke up daily stiff and with sore backs. Not ever getting a full rest. The biggest downside to the stay. The shades are a great feature as the street lights shine in your eyes at night. I was sent a checkout list and when we were departing.. Not sure if the cleaning fee includes throwing away the rubbish and recycling? Thank you for this stay

Great location!

Walking distance to several places we went and perfect neighborhood for a stroll. We loved our stay at this guesthouse and it was the perfect lodging for out multiple day stay. We have never experienced such a stocked kitchen amongst all our vacation rentals- including abroad! The neighborhood is so quiet as well. Water pressure is the shower is amazing. Although there is wifi, the internet was out while we were there. No biggie for us.

Comfortable space, fantastic location

Accommodating management team and owner with strong communication skills. Any questions were answered immediately. Perfect location for everything San Diego related. Within walking distance of convenience and retail stores as well as trendy and unique bars and restaurants. People with cars have great access to street parking. Driving or Uber to downtown or other spots in San Diego is 15 minutes or less. Quiet, private 1 bedroom built in 1910 still has charm and peace of yesteryear and can be a great spot to kick back and relax if you're not out and about at Balboa Park or other amazing attractions in San Diego.

A very nice guesthouse.

We enjoyed our 4 night stay in this quiet and comfortable guesthouse situated in a beautiful neighborhood near restaurants and shops. It had a well stocked kitchen. Lucy was very available and accommodating.
