Wie gewohnt war unser Aufenthalt auf der Clubetage hervorragend. Als negativ empfanden lediglich den Check in. Bei vielen Aufenthalten in Ritz-Carlton-Hotels wurden wir diese Mal nicht auf der Clubetage eingecheckt oder dort hin begleitet, selbst die Zimmer mussten wir selbst in längeren Fluren suchen.

Luxuriöses Hotel in sehr guter Lage
Das Hotel ist ein sehr gepflegtes und - wenngleich von außen in einem klassizistischen Bau untergebracht - modern gestyltes Hotel (1991 gebaut und wohl vor einigen Jahren renoviert). Obwohl es mehr als 300 Zimmer hat, vermittelt es im Gegensatz zu den anderen Top-Hotels in Nob Hill und im Financial District (z.B. das Fairmont oder Westin) eine etwas intimere und exklusivere Atmosphäre. Unser Double Queensize Zimmer war geräumig, sehr sauber. Die Betten sind bequem. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte gut und leise. Negativ sind auch hier die typischen Unsitten der 5-Sterne Hotellerie: - Kein kostenloses WLAN im Zimmer. - Überteuertes Valet-Parking (Wir konnten allerdings nachts problemlos an der Pine Street parken). - Der Platz auf der Auffahrt ist sehr knapp bemessen und entsprechend stressig ist es beim check-in und -out. So riss der Doorman beim Vorfahren gleich die Tür auf, und griff frech ins Auto, um die Kofferraumklappe zu öffnen. Hier wäre mehr Ruhe und Höflichkeit wünschenswert. Es dauerte dann allerdings eine gefühlte Ewigkeit bis das Gepäck auf dem Zimmer war. Beim Auschecken haben wir das Gepäck lieber selbst herunter getragen. - Automatisierte und ebenfalls überteuerte Mini-Bar, Mit $50 Strafzahlung (!) für den Fall, dass der Kühlschrank für eigene Getränke genutzt wird - einfach absurd!

Tolles Hotel, tolle Lage
San Francisco ist eine großartige Stadt, wunderschön auch zu Fuß zu erleben. Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig, Chinatown ist nur einen Block weg, Union Square 2 Blocks. Ein tolles japanisches Restaurant gleich um die Ecke und an der anderen Ecke fährt die Cable Car.

Elegantes typisches Ritz, jedoch sehr hellhörig
Elegantes Hotel mit schöner eleganter Bar im Eingangsbereich. Wirkt in der Lobby klein. Zimmer schön und groß. Allerdings waren die Räume so hellhörig, dass man chinesische Zimmernachbarn so laut hörte, als sei fast keine Trennwand. Beim Check-out waren Gäste vor mir, die um einen Zimmertausch baten ... Falls sie buchen, stellen Sie zumindest sicher, dass es keine Verbindungstür zu einem Nachbarzimmer gibt - diese scheinen auf jeden Fall nicht gut schallgedichtet. In Summe tolles Hotel, das ich jedoch nicht wieder besuchen würde, wegen der schlaflosen Nacht. Preis auch typisch hoch ... und dann dürften solche Ausfälle nicht sein.

Stayed for only two nights in a club level room. The hotel itself is a landmark and the expected service is even exceeded. You feel like at home-but in a very special location. Maybe the club lounge needs some slight and careful updating, nevertheless, the style is just something very special. Bar service and fitness activities are excellent, too.

Hervorragender Service!
Perfekter, professioneller und schneller Empfang. Hervorragende Zimmerausstattung und sehr bequeme Betten. Stilvoller Gym in dem schon alles bereitliegt. Sehr guter Steamer. Leider kein Pool. Sehr gutes, aber nicht billiges Frühstücksbüffet. Das Hotel liegt zentral gelegen auf einem Hügel, direkt über Chinatown. Rundherum ein perfekter Aufenthalt in San Francisco. PS: was ein Ritz oder ein Adlon ausmacht, merkt man erst, wenn einem in einem anderen Hotel auf einmal, vorher vielleicht unwesentliche, Dinge abgehen.

Staff in bar/restaurant area is courteous and well trained. The building and amenities are old but very clean. Nowhere in SF feels safe anymore but we were taken aback to see that the key access on the elevator didn’t work. A couple of guys at the door wouldn’t be enough if someone wanted to get to the floors. Front desk doesn’t have the sense of urgency to satisfy customers’ needs. We asked for rate adjustment when we checked in a day earlier and received a flat no whereas Fairmont staff is empowered to go above and beyond to find ways to make their clients happy. Food and drinks were pretty good. Valet parking was $90 tips which is ridiculous. You can park at the public park around the corner for one third of that cost. If we’re in SF again we’d definitely go with Fairmont.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! The complimentary Champagne and cupcakes for my Aunt’s birthday was a very nice touch and it is greatly appreciated. The staff were phenomenal. Lily from customer service reach out to ask if we need anything and to make sure we have a nice stay at the hotel. Our room were impeccably clean everyday. Towels, sheets and other supplies like coffee, tea, shampoo etc were also replenished. Overall, we are extremely happy of our stay and this won’t be our last time staying here. Absolutely recommend this hotel! Close to a lot of tourist spots so you can pretty much walk to everywhere. Thank you so much Ritz Carlton San Francisco!

The service and attention from all the staff was wonderful. The bathroom could use a bit of refreshing for a 5 star property, but otherwise excellent stay.

Needs a refresh for the rooms and maintenance, especially the tub! Service was excellent most of the time with a slight mishap in their restaurant one evening.

15 dollars for the wifi in a 5 star hotel is ridiculous.not even motel 5 charge for it! The place was clean but an old hotel.

Service is not dead at The Ritz (San Francisco, Nob Hill). The staff was genuinely wonderful. The area is close to Chinatown and Little Italy, but the whole city is very walkable. Union Square is down the hill. Nob Hill is safe and has some nice hotels and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. Nice food, pretty rooms and unlike many Historic Hotels...The Ritz has great air quality...no musty smell! Everything is up to date. This Grand Hotel has retained it's character and beauty.
