The owner showed up on Saturday evening at around 8:30 p.m. with his girlfriend. My daughter had gotten married in the morning and I was hosting a casual barbeque for my family and her wife's family. The owner ambushed me looking upset, as if we were a bunch of teenagers throwing a rager. It was very upsetting. It ruined the entire event. After that, everyone slowly left, not understanding why I was being admonished for the music being too loud in a residential neighborhood. The median age of the "crowd" was probably 50 as grandparents who were in their 80's were in attendence, aunts, uncles, cousins, all over 30, and only 3 children. The house is old. There was no soap in any of the bathrooms, no shampoo, no connditioner, no body wash. The toilets were slow to flush. It is not appropriate for anyone with a balance disorder as the floors are uneven, there is a place upstairs where people were tripping as they went to the bathroom because there was a bump in the floor. A door to a bedroom didn't close -- so much for privacy. It feel very claustrophobic. The yard is the best feature, but don't have people over and don't play Steely Dan past 8:00 p.m. or you may have a nasty in-person visit from the owner that will ruin one of the most special days in your life.
