If you want to stay in a very historic authentic location, this place is perfect. This is not a "faux" historic updated location, meaning the bathroom has historic fixtures, the furnishings are real antiques and there isn't central air. Really quite charming. The location was lovely near the park, so we made it to the Saturday Greenmarket, and the free DOT bus made all of Savanah accessible without using the car. A few cautions: the main bed is a double, so not great for two people and the guest bed in the kitchen is a small twin. The historic tub is small and narrow and a bit confusing to operate at first, and the hot water takes a bit to arrive. The toilet is in a separate room, which ended up being rather convenient. The room is upstairs, which was fine as we had little luggage. The small kitchen is functional and the only grocery store in town is just across the street. To us, it was everything we needed and a bit of real Savannah.
