Super cute and great location!
Small and cozy, perfect for 2 people. My husband and I really enjoyed staying here and became comfortable very easily. Nice welcoming touches, plenty of soap, tissue, towels, coffee, etc that many other rentals don’t offer. We really loved sitting on the balcony in the mornings drinking our coffee. My son lives in the area and wanted to stay with us so he was relegated to the pull-out couch and it was horrible (as most are). Luckily we had brought an air mattress because, let’s be honest, most pull-outs are not comfortable. Street parking was easy, just pay attention to the street sweeping signs as it’s different nights on each side of the road. Easy communication with the owners. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Savannah Carriage House
A delightful cozy comfortable stay with all the amenities ...a short 20 minute stroll to beautiful famous squares or dining and shopping. We had bikes and used quiet streets to get to River district and City Market. Beautiful area! The private porch overlooking the courtyard with its distinct photo ops was a favorite morning and evening retreat. Carmen very responsive before and after arrival to answer our questions. Interesting history behind these gates. Loved this stay!

Wonderful Spot

Historic Savannah location
Super comfortable king bed...small private balcony...fast internet.... historic and quiet location. And the accessible and friendly owners made our Savannah stay pleasant. Keep in mind this is an old building, which is part of the charm. Bathroom and kitchen are tiny but how much time will you spend in them...enjoy Savannah's great restaurant scene and walking around the gorgeous local squares.

Excellent stay!!!
Megan and I loved our time at the Carriage House. Extra bonus of being a mere few steps away from Forsyth Park. Carmen and Jon are superb hosts and the Carriage House had everything we needed and was very clean. It is also within walking distance of just about everywhere in Savannah. I would highly recommend this place and would most definitely stay here again.

Excellent location to explore.
Excellent location with thoughtful touches by the owner. Small shower but not a big deal. Easy to get around the historic district using the Dot buses. May want to consider adding blackout curtains to block the light from the lights in the alley. Otherwise, just wonderful.

PERFECT and EXCEEDED all expectations
The property was clean and well kept. Instructions to the property were easy with multiple contact by owners to ensure you got in with ease including step by step pics prior to arrival. This is the perfect place to experience the true historic Savannah
This property had everything you needed including rain ponchos. Jon and Carmen had fresh flowers in every room. The place was decorated and very clean. We loved the king size bed. Those are hard to find. We noticed a cat theme which we loved as we are cat people. Thanks for taking very good care of us.

Character
Savannah is a city with a lot of character. The history, the restaurants, and even the sidewalks have character. This little apartment was exactly that too. It has historical charm which complimented the experience of Savannah. . This carriage house is in a great location and the free bus stop is close by. The hosts were wonderfully warm. What a great location! I ditto all the positive attributes previously mentioned about this property. We are active grandparents so maneuvered the entrance (random short steps along the path) with ease- but one needs to be careful. Will add that the bed is STILL comfortable and the Venetian blinds keep out the street light mentioned a while ago in one of the reviews. Best wishes to our tremendous hosts!

The carriage house was just as pictured, quaint and secluded tucked in the back of of the garden. Carmen was a delight to work with, we enjoyed our stay very much. We only wished the weather had been cooler, but the cottage was a nice place to cool off and relax.

Stay in a historic carriage house in the heart of Savannah old town, near Forsyth park and Mercer House from the Garden of Good and Evil book. Walkable to everything, with caring touches from Carmen including a bottle of wine, Milano cookies and fresh cut flowers. Plus a king size bed for my 6 foot husband, what’s not to like!

We throughly enjoyed our time in Savannah and the apt. was located a nice walk from downtown. The mattress was extremely comfortable. The only negative thing I can say is that there needs to be light blocking curtains on the 2 bedroom windows as there is a street light that shines very brightly outside the windows. Otherwise we had a fabulous time.

The property is really interesting, and the balcony off the bedroom was wonderful for breakfast, or an end of day glass of wine. The property is centrally located and really pleasant for walking through the historic district and lovely parks. The river front area can be reached by walking or taking the complimentary DOT shuttle. Nearby attractions include Fort Pulaski, Tybee Island, and the awesome Eighth Air Force Museum. We had a great time. Carmen, the owner, was wonderful and very helpful.The property is historic. The property is entered through a courtyard. The building, location, even the Spanish moss on the trees added to the sense of history. We were very pleased we selected this property. If you come to Savannah learn its parking rules. I recommend stopping at the Visitor Center and getting a dashboard parking pass for non-weekend parking.

Charming spot in a great location!
My two sisters and I got together in Savannah for a three day weekend and we loved staying here. We didn't cook, but made coffee and sat on the little porch overlooking the courtyard which was a great way to start the day. The apartment was really well-located and we could easily walk to everything in this beautiful city. Carmen was very helpful and available for any questions. Would recommend this spot!

Carriage house apt is right in the old historic district. Close to Mercer House and Forsyth Park. Landlords are fabulous. Parked our car on the Street and did not move it until we left 3 days later. Did buy a 2 day parking permit at the visitor's center. Downloaded the parking app but permit is way more efficient. Restaurants within walking distant. Met chef Mashama Bailey at the Grey Market and had "fish and grits" at her Grey Restaurant. If you haven't read "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" yet. This would be a good time to read. It's a great story and you will be right in the middle of all the action..

Great Location and Great Communication with owners!
We stayed at this charming carriage house for a weekend away! The house was very clean and inviting with special touches left by the owners. We felt very at home! Carmen was very responsive and gave us great advice for restraunts close by. Location was perfect for walking to historic landmarks and restaurants. Excellent in Everyday
Our stay in the carriage house could not have been more perfect. The apartment had comfortable furniture (especially the bed), good lighting, and was in an excellent location in the historic district. I especially enjoyed the cozy and private second floor porch off the bedroom, which faced the inner courtyard, and was a perfect place to have morning coffee. Although the kitchen is too small for making full meals, it is quite suitable for preparing breakfast or lunch. Our host was very welcoming and gaining access to the apartment went smoothly. I have stayed at many homes through Home Away and other vacation rental agencies and this apartment is by far my favorite! I recommend it wholeheartedly.

Loved it!
My son and I absolutlely loved Jon and Carmen's carriage house. It was spotless and full of charm. The garden is delightful. The location was in beautiful historic Savannah. Jon and Carmen went above and beyond as hosts. My son was relocating to Savannah. They gave helpful advice on neighborhoods and even showed us their rental property. I am sure I will be returning to this special carriage house.

What a perfect spot!

Delightful in Every Way
When (not "If") we come back, this will be our first choice of accommodation. Clean, quaint, cozy, beautifully decorated, steeped in history and offering all the necessary modern amenities, the location is perfect. Less than a block away from the Mercer-Williams House and walking distance to almost everything, including the free shuttle to everything else a little father north. We rented a car, but would not bother with one next time, especially for this site. Jon and Carmen are wonderful, thoughtful and always one text or phone call away for anything you need.

Perfect location, within walking distance of everything!
My wife and I went to celebrate her birthday and our 20 year anniversary. Carmen had the house decorated and left a very delicious birthday cake for my wife as well as a bottle of wine for our anniversary. The house was beautiful and the location was perfect for waking to all of the historic landmarks and restaurants in Savannah. We would recommend renting this property to anyone, we plan to be back soon!
