  • Seal Cove Pond and the Algerine Coast are backside favorites. Enjoy Long Pond, Echo Lake and quietside hikes! Wonderful restaurants too!

    Southwest Harbor is nearby or enjoy the scenic drive across the island for all that Bar Harbor has to offer.

    The cabin has 2 bedrooms, a full loft and 1 bath in the main living space. House has all the amenities including washer and dryer, bath and bed linens, stocked kitchen, and wifi. Partially finished basement includes washer and dryer, extra bathroom and kitchen, walkout to backyard. Grill, picnic table and fire pit surrounded by private woods.

As a group of 2 couples - this place was amazing. (There were enough beds that a whole family could easily stay!) Deer in the yard. Beautiful location. Close to places to visit - but far enough away that you had time to kick back and relax. It was clean, warm and cozy. The owner was a pleasure to work with - and responded to questions about local grocery stores and more. PS - We will go back.

Great location, very comfortable cabin. The kitchen is really well equipped. The beds are all comfortable with nice linens. The TV is huge, the Internet is fast.

Great Vacation

The stay was wonderful. The house is large, clean and well stocked. We enjoyed staying on the West side and driving to our daily adventures.

Clean, cozy cabin! We explored Acadia almost every day and had a couple of nice, quiet nights in with bonfires. Great, quiet area. Highly recommend.

Great location on the quiet side of Acadia! We appreciated the space (in and out), multiple bedrooms, and dining room table with room for at least 6! Even got to view deer in the backyard most mornings. Great stay!

Beautiful home and location! We loved the nearby trail walk to the bay and seeing the neighborhood deer. The house is beautifully done and we loved its atmosphere. Would definitely want to come back!

Long weekend getaway

We stayed for a long weekend. The location to everything was oerfect we were able to drive in any direction to get to a site. The ammenaties were perfect and they had kids toys! 10/10 would rent again.

Memorial Day Weekend Stay

Excellent visit to MDI. Enjoyed the house and loved being on the quiet side of the island. House was exactly as described, clean and simply super cute! My family enjoyed listening to birds on the new deck! Highly recommend.

Perfect Maine Getaway

I really liked this place. It was a nice wood cabin set back from the main roads. Surroundings were quiet and peaceful. The fire pit was amazing. Majority of regular gousehold needs/linnens/untensils were provided. Nice and clan interior. Only real nitpick is the grass couldve been cut, but other than that perfect!

The Perfect Maine Stay is well named! This huge log cabin could comfortably sleep eight, not including the couches. The rooms were spacious and there were extra charging accessories for our charging needs. This cabin was very clean and the owners paid meticulous attention to detail for their guests. How about s’mores around the campfire, and if it rains, there were some board games and/or if you want to sit back and relax there were books to read! We hope to use the kayaks and canoes in the future too. We brought some food to cook and were happy they had had several different pans, every spice you can think of and even a cutting board and knives to slice our cheese. We look forward to using all three cozy decks next time. The woodwork is excellent inside and out! There are three floors with two full bathrooms (lower floor and 1st floor). (Two people can take showers at the same time with no change in temperature or water pressure). Any questions I had, Val was right there to send me a reply via text. My parents, my husband and I can’t wait to return as soon as possible! We all recommend this amazing cabin to our family and friends!

Cute cabin

We love Acadia and this was a unique and fun home to stay in. We hadn’t stayed on this side of the island and I am glad we did. It was a fun location to do some things we hadn’t done before and the house/kitchen was perfect for us as a stopping ground. I would suggest adding another railing up to the loft, where the netting decoration is. Our kids ended up finding places to sleep on the main level because we were a little worried about safety coming down the stairs at night. It was also hot so we were more comfortable on the main level. We loved our stay and will be back.

Lovely Rustic Cabin

Like an earlier reviewer said, a terrific spot. “Rustic” is well deserved but in a good way.Only quibble is downstairs bathroom is stated to be in basement but descending via pretty “rustic” stairs. Would have been nice for pictures of the downstairs bathroom and the stairs. It was okay but surprisingly rough. All in all, liked the place quite a bit. Just surprised at the basement stairs being a bit of a challenge and a very, very basic downstairs bathroom.A good stay at a good place!

Wonderful Stay!

My family of four had a wonderful experience while visiting Maine! This log cabin home topped off the outdoor experience while we hiked and did ocean kayaking. After a day of exploring Acadia and other surroundings, we couldn’t have asked for a better home to keep with the natural look and feel of Maine. Somewhat off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. Modern amenities, but the feel of being in the wilderness of Maine. Highly recommend the home and the host. Thank You for all the home had to offer.
