Sedona's red rocks have a way of taking over a room, and Sage & Sandstone was built to let them. Walls of windows wrap the open living space, framing the buttes and spires that rise beyond the property line — the kind of view that shifts color three or four times between breakfast and sunset, and never quite the same way twice.

The layout inside is open and unfussy. Living, dining, and kitchen run together under high beamed ceilings, with a lounge area that gives everyone somewhere comfortable to land after a long day on the trails. The full kitchen is anchored by an extra-large professional Frigidaire refrigerator and has real counter space to work on, with a dining table set for four just off it. High-end Arizona Southwestern artwork and decor carry through the home — pieces chosen with intention rather than pulled off a shelf — and board games are stocked for the slower afternoons. A washer and dryer handle the practical side of a longer stay, and a tankless water heater means the last one into the shower gets the same hot water as the first.

Outside is where the house really opens up. Mature desert landscaping — agave, prickly pear, shade trees, gravel paths that catch the late light — surrounds a covered dining area built for meals that stretch well past sunset. The grill is in excellent shape and comes with a full BBQ tool set, skewers, a brush, and a cover, so cooking outside takes no planning at all. Then there's the hot tub: salt water, so it's soft on skin that's spent all day in the desert sun, and the obvious reward at the end of it — under a sky that goes properly dark and properly starry once the light drops behind the rocks.

Both the primary and second bedrooms open onto private patios of their own, each with a direct line on the red rock formations. It's the rare setup where you can take your coffee out alone with the view before anyone else in the house is up.

You're in a quiet residential pocket on the east side of the Village of Oak Creek, tucked up against the national forest boundary — far enough off Highway 179 that the nights are genuinely dark and quiet, close enough that everything is a short drive. Jacks Canyon Trailhead is about a mile down the road for a rugged, locals-favorite hike toward Lee Mountain. Bell Rock and Courthouse Butte — the two formations everyone comes to Sedona for — are roughly ten minutes out, with an easy loop trail circling both. The Village center is a similar drive, with Clark's Market for groceries, Tortas de Fuego for a fast and very good lunch, and Cucina Rustica for a proper dinner, plus golf at Sedona Golf Resort and Oakcreek Country Club.

Head north up 179 and the marquee stops line up one after another: the Chapel of the Holy Cross, the Cathedral Rock trailhead, and Tlaquepaque's galleries and shaded courtyards, with Uptown Sedona's shops and the Airport Mesa overlook about twenty minutes on. Red Rock State Park, the swimming holes at Slide Rock up Oak Creek Canyon, and day trips to Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon are all comfortably in range.

It's a quiet, art-filled house with a very loud view — the kind of place where the plan tends to shrink down to hiking early, cooking in, and getting back to the hot tub before dark.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
