We enjoyed our stay in this spacious cabin during our Smoky Mountain trip. There were a lot of pros: the home is very large with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, which made it perfect for our group. The location is great—close to Pigeon Forge but still quiet. The basketball court was a huge hit with the teens, and the mother-in-law suite was a nice bonus with lots of bed options throughout the house. We also loved the back porch, and the layout was very friendly for family members who can’t handle many stairs. Anytime we had an issue, the response time from the host was excellent. There were a few downsides worth mentioning. The cabin could use a deep clean—there was noticeable soap scum in the bathrooms and a few dead bugs in untouched areas. The hot tub didn’t work during our stay. The stairs to the loft in the mother-in-law suite are extremely narrow and really only safe for kids; we had planned to put an adult on the spectrum up there but didn’t feel comfortable with the risk of falling. The heat went out in the bunk room, though maintenance did arrive quickly with space heaters. The refrigerator water dispenser also stopped working and wasn’t able to be repaired during our stay.Overall, despite a few maintenance and cleanliness issues, the space, layout, and responsiveness of the host made it a good stay for our family. With some updates and a deep clean, it would be excellent.
