Part of the renowned "Valleywood Acres Inn and Cottages," this property offers the best of both worlds – a serene escape surrounded by 18 acres of natural beauty, complete with over 6 acre private lake, the picturesque Esopus creek, perfect for outdoor adventures, fire pits and quality family time.

** PETS are allowed with permission. Please advise the owners before bringing pets. They must be leashed at all times outside, not left alone in the unit and stay off the furniture **

We've blended historic charm with many original pieces from the original barn with contemporary furnishings, heat and AC. Discover the rich history in every nook and cranny - exposed wooden beams that stretch overhead and the aged textures that paint a vivid picture of the storied past.

Enter through the patio French doors and get whisked away! This meticulously transformed unit invites you to truly enjoy some R&R. Whether it's resting after hiking, skiing or relaxing with your favorite drink in front of the lake.

** THE LIVING ROOM **
Almost 20 ft of glass (Yes 20 Ft!) gives you views of the mountain and water all day. You can get lost in it while drinking your morning cup of coffee. Start the say right, relaxing! The hand-painted ceiling tiles (most of them are genuine, antique, salvaged tin ceiling tiles) will evoke of the feeling of temple or basilica. The spacious living room with its leather couches will accommodate the entire family or families. Absorb the tranquility of the mountains and private lake. You may never want to leave this charming sanctuary that feels like home.

** THE KITCHEN **
The large kitchen with full range is artfully designed with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances contains everything you need to spend your time with us.

** THE MASTER BEDROOM 1- Princess Room : 1 Queen Bed **
The bedroom exudes a serene blend of traditional Indian aesthetics and meditative tranquility. Walls are painted in a soft pink, providing a neutral backdrop for vibrant accents.
A focal point of the room is a canopy bed draped with flowing fabric of a silk saree and exquisitely carved headboard. The bed linens feature intricate paisley patterns in rich jewel tones of sapphire, emerald, and ruby. The walls are decorated with lotus carvings to enhance the feeling of calm and tranquility.
To reinforce the meditative atmosphere:
A small altar with a Ganesh statue sits atop a wooden table.
The overall effect is a harmonious space that celebrates Indian textile traditions while fostering inner peace and mindfulness.
Of course the memory foam cloud mattress will immediately lull you to sleep.


** BEDROOM 2 - 3 Twin Beds **
Celebrating almost 2 centuries of history of the Victorian Inn, this bedroom proudly features hemlock boards lining the walls that were crafted into the headboards for the queen and twin beds with their memory foam cloud mattresses.

** THE MASTER BEDROOM 2- Hive Room : 1 Queen Bed **
The bedroom is designed to signify bonds of family and transcendence. Walls are painted in a soft neutral white which will presents a suitable backdrop for vibrant accents.
A focal point of the room is an enormous hand-crafted Honey-Bee hive as a headboard. Each of the hexagons of the hive is painted or decorated to highlight the irreplaceable bonds of family. The bed linens feature intricate patterns, the walls are decorated with free floating "reflections" to enhance the feeling of calm and tranquility. Of course the memory foam cloud mattress will immediately lull you to sleep.


** THE LOFT - 1 Twin Bed & MEDITATION Center**
Climb into this beautifully renovated loft space! Go ahead and feel like a child again with this “Eagle's Perch” - You may even occupy this yourself and leave the kids downstairs!

*DECK*
Step outside onto the deck with a cuppa your favorite. Enjoy the private lake and the mountain peaks that are all around you. Walk past the lake and enjoy the beauty and sounds of Esopus Creek.

** There is NO smoking or vaping inside. No parties or events. No fireworks on the property. Failing to follow house rules may result in you being asked to leave. **

Q: Is there heat and AC?
A: Yes! Thank goodness

Q: Is there a washer/dryer?
A: No

Q: Is there a Grill? What type is it? Can we use it?
A: Yes, it is propane. Yes, we provide the propane.
While best effort is made to keep the grill clean, cleaning team will not be focused on that. As this is a complimentary service with no extra cost, please clean your grill before and after use.

Q: Can we swim in the lake?
A: Yes, it is a freshwater lake fed by Esopus creek, but you swim at your own risk. There is NO lifeguard on the property and please wear protective footwear.

Q: Can we use the kayaks/boat?
A: Yes, we have kayaks for personal use that guests can use, but at your own risk.
There is NO lifeguard on the property.
We do not offer life-jackets - you have to provide your own.
The Kayaks will be out Mid-May to end of September as water temperature can get pretty low.

Q: Is the kitchen fully equipped?
A: Yes! Full sized propane Range, cutlery and dishes, basic pots and pans, full sized fridge

Q: Why no kitchen/dish sponge?
A: We use Dish cloth for hygiene as they can be sanitized but sponges can not

Q: Are there more towels?
A: For 3+ day stays, contact us and we will have innkeeper drop off additional towels.

Q: Is there a coffee maker?
A: Yes, Keurig Duo with both drip and single serve. We provide you with a starter pack of coffee and tea.

Q: Where are the kayaks/Paddle Boat?
A: By the lake. If not there, please contact us

Q: Are there firewood for fire pit?
A: You have to supply your own. Local stores and gas stations have them in plenty

Q: What is a Duplex?
A: A duplex is a building with two separate living units that share a common wall. Nothing is shared between the units except the driveway. Each unit has its own entry, part of the deck etc.

Q: Is there a trick to the oven?
A: These are propane range so you need to turn the knob to "Light" so igniter can light the oven, then turn it to the desired temperature. See, there is nothing to it :)

Q: Is there an EV Charger? Is It free?
A : Yes there is an EV Charger - Level 2 Tesla Charger with SAE j1772.
No - it is not complimentary. You have to pay $30 to charge

Q: Is this facility pet friendly? How many are allowed?
A: Yes, we are pet friendly. Maximum of 2. There is a pet fee - please see reservation
