Excellent Getaway

Hosts are incredibly kind, accommodating and responsive. Our family really enjoyed staying at this beautiful home on the wolf river. Lots of things to do for families and kids - we especially loved spending time outside.

We had a great time

This is a good house for families with children. The house is big enough for adults and all ages of children. The house is clean, organized and the kitchen is well stocked. Kim and Joel are great hosts.

This property is in a quiet and serene area on the Wolf River - beautiful any time of year, I'm sure! Our family had plenty of room and so much fun enjoying the pool, games, fishing and just soaking in nature! The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating! They answered any questions we had before we got there and also once we were there. Don't miss this wonderful VRBO!

Great Place on a Great River

A great place that offers a large vacation property with a wide variety of amenities and activities right on the wolf river with a beautiful view. Additionally it is a short drive to Shawano and surrounding areas and adventures. We met Kim right away when we arrived who was friendly and able to give us a quick yet thorough overview of this well organized and clean property. My friends and I had a great time and would recommend to anyone, the pictures do not do it justice.

Room for the whole family

We had a great week with our kids and grandkids. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the upstairs/downstairs separation made it easy for the adults to socialize after the kids were asleep. There's a big yard to play in, plenty of parking, fishing from the dock, canoes and kayaks, reading on the deck overlooking the river, and lots of games. The grandkids loved the pool. It's a short drive to Shawano for stores, restaurants, parks, and the lake. Definitely recommended.

Absolutely PERFECT

When we arrived we immediately noticed how well kept and clean everything was - from the yard to the house. The whole property was absolutely gorgeous! The owners were probably some of the nicest people I have ever met. They were so helpful and kind! The grandkids caught northern and bass off the dock, we all loved the pool and the downstairs area……. But most of all the deck and the view. This place went above and beyond our expectations. It’s so quiet and relaxing. We will definitely be going back.

Returning to my roots

Since I moved away, each year we return for a getaway in the Wisconsin area, generally the Shawano area. The property was large enough for our growing family and dogs. The picturea did not due it justice. So large and lovely area. We enjoyed trips downtown and to the casino. Many enjoyed the pool and the game room. Used the kayaks to do some fishing down the river. Our dogs enjoyed the large property and all the nature smells. My husband got to see his bear he has been wanting to see and broke some of his best catch records.Kim and Joel were great hosts and quickly answered any questions we had.

Family Annual Fishing Trip

The property was very clean & beautifully maintained by Wolf River. There was plenty of room for all twelve of us ranging in age 22 months to 80 years old and two dogs. Since you had 3 bedrooms on main level & another bedroom on lover level with pool table, game table, recliners, gave us more room to spread out & enjoy our stay! Since there were twelve of us, 2 1/2 baths was great to have with 1 1/2 on main level & full bath on lower level. Dining room was big enough with additional sitting on island. There was a deck off the great room overlooking a scenic backyard leading down to the dock with canoes & kayaks. Gas grill was provided on the deck which was great for soaking up some sun or reading a book. We swam in above ground pool for two days before the rain & cooler weather arrived. We were still able to have a fish fry even though the weather didn't cooperate. Shawano is a short trip to town for groceries, restaurants, parks, etc. Kim & Joel were great hosts & very accommodating! Our annual family fishing trip was a memorable experience thanks to our hosts!

Beautiful location and well kept house

We loved everything about our stay. We were a big group of 10 people and two dogs. House is well kept and kitchen is fully equipped with all the cooking essentials and appliances. Property is beautiful and backyard has a scenic background of wolf river which is also very quiet with lots of privacy. Kim and her family were very friendly and helpful. Kids and adults both loved spending time in the pool. Dogs loved going for a swim in the river and walking on property grounds. Deck has a nice gas grill where you can spend your evenings soaking up the view over some beer and burger. There was some issue with the water pressure and water quality due to some issues with the well water but owners told us that are in the process of getting that fixed. I’d recommend this place for family or friends or just couples as well. Also, the basement has a nice bar, pool table, darts and tons of board games that everyone in our group enjoyed.

Christmas 2022 a wrap!

My husband and I gift a week/weekend away with our kids, spouses and grandkids, each Christmas. Kim and Joel's property did not did not disappoint with a huge open floor plan, plenty of sleeping space And an awesome play area both inside and out. We took advantage of the pool and rented their pontoon for a day as well. One of our grandsons caught a 4+ pound bass, which was pretty cool to watch him reel in! Communication was great all around having shared a potential issue with the well in advance of our stay was so appreciated as one of our daughters is expecting, even though we didnt have any issues the communication was still really appreciated. The property is easy to get to, quiet and private. Shawano is a short drive, we didnt eat at any restaurants but did notice a fair number that we would have visited had we not had other arrangements. This was the first time we have rented where the property owners were on site, again not a problem or awkward with the massive space you really felt you were there with just your own group. We loved our stay and the memories we made for Christmas 2022 are in the books! We would definitely do a return visit!

Just What We Wanted

From start to finish a great property and great owners. We did our annual family get away with 10 of us ranging from 8 to 72. Something for everyone. Plenty of room for us to spread out but still cozy enough that we spent time together both inside and out. So peaceful right on the river. Kayaks provided which we all used. Kids fished off the dock and caught a few. Nice above ground pool which we all enjoyed with the warm summer weather. Inside plenty of room for us to prepare meals and eat as a family. Nice living area upstairs and down. Played pool, darts and games. Nice deck to sit outside and chill while watching the river and kids. Plenty of beds for us all. Owners are new but they seem to be getting the hang of this quickly. Very friendly and helpful. They weren’t intrusive at all but were there when we needed them. A few glitches but they have only owned the property a couple months, I see this place getting nothing but better. We hope to return with either family or friends next year. Lots of memories made at this wonderful property. Thanks so much Kim and Joel.

Amazing relaxing stay at this gem of house. The place was immaculately clean, Kitchen had everything, and being right on the river was amazing having a cup of coffee watching the sun rise through the trees and on to the river. Plenty of places to explore in town for the whole family. Just an amazing place for peaceful family time to enjoy life.
