When we first checked in, i think the staff was overwhelmed by the party that was happening in the conference room and bar area. We were originally given a room on the 2nd floor. When we got to the room, you could tell that housekeeping hadn't stepped foot in that room from the prior guests stay. We went back to the front desk and explained the situation, and they gave us a different room on the 3rd floor. When we entered that room, it was very clean and exactly what we had expected.
We had planned on enjoying supper there, but with the event that was taking place we decided to go elsewhere. We had purchased the breakfast in advance, while booking our room. The next morning, we went to the lobby to order our breakfast and to our surprise they were hosting a church service downstairs. We waited in line to order breakfast for approximately 45 minutes and then continued to wait for our food another 20 minutes. If we had known this, we definitely would've gotten food elsewhere and not purchased breakfast in advance.
We decided to visit the pool before checking out. The pool was small and about 60-degree water temperature, so not much time was spent there. The outdoor are with the firepit was nice.
The reason I am 4 stars for this hotel.. The staff was very polite and addressed our room issue properly. The barista was very apologetic for our wait time to order. The check out time is noon, which you rarely find these days. The outdoor area and the location deserve 5 stars.
