« Property was perfect for our dog friendly holiday. The home very comfortable, clean, well maintained . Lovely to sit near the fire on the cold Stanthorpe nights.The yard was great for the dogs to run free. Plenty places to sit and relax on the wrap around veranda on by the fire pit. »

« This is the second time we have stayed at Avalon. The house is very comfortable and cosy. The location was great for our weekend. Teresa is a great co-host. We will stay again next visit to Stanthorpe. »

« Beautifully renovated house with a great set up. The 80’s style gaming machine brought back great memories, the records were fun, our dog loved the yard and we were toasty warm. Couldn’t recommend more highly. »

« If you want to enjoy a morning coffee watching the kangaroos play fight. The horses galloping, the birds singing in a cute little town. This place is the go for a couple of days. It didn’t bother us but the only disadvantage is there is no wardrobe. We pack light so it wasn’t an issue »

« Perfect rural staycationWe booked this for our Dads 80th who is from Central QLD. Family with two young kids, couple with no kids and a couple in their 80's all met up and stayed the weekend, we all loved it. Easy checkin, clean property with lots of space. Firebit, hammock and outdoor bath were lovely added extras. Would highly recommend. »

« A peaceful location with the wilderness just outside your front door. Our stay in Stanthorpe was relaxing, rejuvenating, and an opportunity for our family to reconnect after the rigours of a semester of schooling and work. Although visiting in the winter months, we were nevertheless able to enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna during the day, sitting on the front lawn and stargazing at night, and huddling in front of the fireplace once we were done with both. An enjoyable time for all. »

« The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The fire was going when we got there which made it very cosy. The cottage is quite big and plenty of room for 2 people. »

« What a wonderful weekend getaway with a bunch of friends. House was huge and fitted our group of 7 perfectly. We loved the fire, acreage and the daily visits from the kangaroos. Everything you needed was provided. Maggie is an amazing host. »
