« We had a wonderful stay at the Deer Harbor Inn lodge and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Orcas Island. The rooms were comfortable, clean and cozy! Perfect after a jam-packed day of hosting activities for our friends, from Deer Harbor marina to Eastsound, and ending with the best brisket ever at Matthews Smokehouse just across from the lodge. « The room literally had a bed in the middle of the room with one side against the wall. It had an old chair in an old Desk old lighting old carpet. It was from the 1980s if that probably the 70s there were ants in the bathroom crawling around and on the floor was an ant trap. It was horrible. The price was right because it was the only room available and the reviews were high. I don’t know how that happened. »

« The reviews we read had us worried, but our experience was wonderful. We had a beautiful room right at the water’s edge and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Although the washing machines could use some updating, we were able to wash everything we needed on-site. The staff was kind, but be aware that if you arrive after hours, you will need to find your room on your own. We had no trouble because the maps were clear and the directions made sense. « It was isolated and I did not see staff until Thursday morning while I was leaving. And that was only because they had the wrong credit card on file. It has a very old world feel to it. Might be ok for romantic getaway but not for solo travelers. Very few amenities. I did feel over charged. »
