Friendly staff, clean hotel, excellent location (walking distance from the train station as well as from the Shambles and the Minster). Our only downfall was the construction work that was a but noisy in the morning, and the fact that the fan in the bathroom was not efficient (it would ger humid after a shower). Would recommend this hotel !

Lovely staff, dilapidated water damaged rooms.
"In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that havenât been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that ..."

"Our family room was actually two very clean and comfortable rooms, i was initially put off by some bad reviews but i thought it was great. The staircase is amazing! And the corridors might be showing their age but that is what comes of staying in a historic building beds were clean and comfortable ..."
