Driftwood is exceptional. Ocean views, miles of room, great kitchen, excellent laundry, multiple entertainment areas, inside and out, great beds, the bathrooms are spacious and well appointed - and those fantastic showers!! I've enjoyed plenty of Stayz stays - this is the best.

Perfect family holiday!

We had a fantastic time staying at this Driftwood! The large outdoor area was perfect for the kids to run around and play. Every bedroom had its own toilet and shower, which made it so comfortable for everyone. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with everything we needed, and the sunsets were absolutely beautiful. Communication with the owner was fantastic, making the whole experience easy and stress-free. We would definitely recommend this place to others and can’t wait to come back!

Fabulous family holiday

We were a family of 8 adults, 3 small children and 2 little babies and this house was perfect with plenty of bathroom space, great cooking and washing facilities and the perfect outlook over the water but far enough to keep the little ones safe . It was a short drive not a walk to the beach and shops with little ones but the peace and quiet of Driftwood gave us a perfect holiday.

As soon as we opened the courtyard, were drawn in… with undisturbed views of the back terrace, back yard and water views through the swaying eucalyptus teasing us as we approached the front door. The styling is beautiful throughout the house, the layout perfect for our Famlily long weekend. We wished we had more time, will be returning, Thank you Driftwood

Awesome family break

Driftwood was an experience which we as a family will never forget. House had everything a family would ever require whist on holiday's. It was clean, roomy, close to everything. The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated in a relaxed coastal style. Very quiet residential location with a nice walk down to the jetty cafe and lunch at Julios near by, so we avoided the busier parts of Port Stephens.

A great vista from the back to Port Stephens, along with the cubbyhouse for the kid and the firepit by the water. The property is very open plan with plenty of lounging space so that guest can have their own little nooks. The kitchen is well equipped with all you could need and the welcome hamper was a fantastic treat. We could not be happier with this property; one of the best we have stayed in. Communication was fantastic and the proximity to Bannisters, other restaurants and shops were just what we wanted. We can't rate this property high enough.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Located in a fantastic spot facing west on the water the house is private, the yard expansive and there is a small private waterfront. Short drive to the shops, the pub etc. The back deck is awesome for dining, bbqing and relaxing and we saw a koala, kookaburras and lots of lorikeets. The bedrooms are well appointed, but we were disappointed with being asked to pay extra for the 12th bed given the base cost of the house. Also somewhat disappointing was the general cleanliness of the property, again for the standard of home and cost. This is particularly frustrating when such emphasis is placed on how the property must be left on checkout.

We have booked again for next year!!!Not to be published section: We would howver like to feedback a couple of things. The Stove top is effectively not working. The burners are very inconsistent and as such we found it difficult to cook for large groups of people. Also in case they didn't realise the Fan over the BBQ area was broken also. Nothing too major but sometimes people don't feed back and so the owners never know! All in all though we had the most amazing time. ThanksRhi

Bliss at Soldiers Point

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Driftwood Cottage has a beautiful outlook to the west from the house and large verandah with a huge reserve down to the water's edge. We were a party of 11 family members aged from 1.5 years to 71 years and the cottage easily catered for us all. Gorgeous sunsets, an easy walk through the reserve or along the foreshore to the park, beach and play equipment. It was an easy drive to visit other beautiful beaches at Shoal Bay and Fingal Bay. The owners very kindly provided a large number of items in the starter pack and also a gorgeous welcoming hamper of wine and treats which were delicious. Mostly we cooked our dinners, however, the last night we dined at The Deck Cafe at Soldiers Point where there was a sunset view and delicious dinners. On our second last night we watched a koala cuddled into a gum with its eyes closed which was an incredible treat for us all. We enjoyed a perfect week and will definitely return - perhaps 10 days next time! We would happily recommend Driftwood Cottage to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday whilst being close to all the attractions of Port Stephens including many lovely stores in Nelson Bay. Cheers!!
