Beautiful property and our room was just as described. Loved the back balcony off of our room with rocking chairs to enjoy the evening. Highly recommend visiting the Library bar in Mansion restaurant for enjoyable cocktails and exceptional service. Can’t wait to visit again.

Berry Hill Resort is a gorgeous mansion with a great historical background dating back to its origin as a land grant from the Crown to James Bruce in the mid-1700’s for his service to the Crown. There are two restaurants on-site and Berry Hill Resort is a noted location for exquisite weddings and family reunions.

We adore Berry Hill Resort. It’s the perfect place for a weekend fun filled relaxing trip with the kids. The Dining is exceptional. Don’t miss out on Sunday Brunch and delicious drinks and appetizers at Darbys Tavern. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. They bring a relaxing feel just being on them. The kids spent a lot of time playing pickleball and basketball and even more time in their indoor pool. We can’t wait to come back to Berry Hill Resort.

The historic Berry Hill plantation was the real draw for my visit. The modern hotel added to the property is traditional, tasteful, and entirely appropriate for what was a somewhat controversial addition to a landmark property. Because we were visiting from Sunday-Tuesday, some of the amenities like the dining room and the bar within the house proper were not in service. That was understandable but nonetheless disappointing. The pub option worked well enough, however.

Beautiful setting, and very elegant room. I wish I'd had time to visit the pool. The coffee was WAY too weak, and I was disappointed there was no hot breakfast.

Great little getaway
Cons: Didn't realize we booked a room in the mansion. The room was old and felt stuffy. The bathroom leaked and the toilet had a huge crack. There also isn't an elevator to the floor seeing that I did request handicap amenities this was a problem. Pros: We only stay at this hotel when we visit South Boston. As far as staying in the mansion we were transferred to the hotel and everything was good. I know now to make sure we are in the hotel part only. The Tavern restaurant was very good and service was excellent.This was the first time we visited the restaurant. Overall: The estate is nice and for me, I wouldn't stay in the mansion. I prefer the hotel and its more modern amenities.

Im from this area but had never experienced staying at the mansion. It has been a much needed little getaway from home. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Wonderful location awful breakfast
We love the location, but again the breakfast is awful and this time it was even worse. The egg thing looks so old and like it had been reheated many times. They used to put yogurt out, (I didn't eat that as it was yuck yogurt) and now none of that. Again love location and the room, but breakfast is not edible to me.

Love the historical value of the venue as well as the perfectly appointed rooms reflecting the mansion history in the furnishings. The staff was very helpful and guests had full access to the mansion, multiple restaurants and a perfect setting for weddings, reunions, etc.

Great rainy stay at Berry Hill.
Excellent cleanliness. Bed and bedding excellent. Competent staff at front desk all 24hr. Adequate continental breakfast, early on Christmas Day. Good tavern food. Only minor inconvenience was difficulty with EV charging station on rainy night. However, the maintenance person was able to reset the device and we charged there successfully Christmas night.

Very elegant but comfortable. It ws quiet but there were not many guests. Loved the canopy bed and plank floors. There was no refrigerator in our unit which would have been handy. The breakfast buffet at the mansion would have been delicious if it had not been cold. The food at the tavern was delicious but it was VERY noisy at the bar. Service everywhere was excellent. The pool was beautiful.

Beautiful but terrible breakfast
Great location and a nice place to be out of it all! The only issue, after many stays is the breakfast. It's never any good and they run out super early. One coworker of my husband's who was staying there went to get yogurt and it was all.out of date. Someone seriously needs to revamp breakfast. It's the only downfall of thos beautiful hotel

This property has a lot to offer, very historic and there are various things to do. The staff is very nice and pleasant. The only thing I did not like was that the coffe they have for the guests close to the lobby was empty and 3 different staff members told mw it was going to be refilled in 10 minutes and after 3 hours it still was empty. I would prefer they told me there won't be coffe available. Other than that, I had a pleasant experience.

When I arrived late in the evening all of the lights were out at the front desk and I didn't think anything of it.... When I got back one night about 10:00 p.m. and no one was at the front desk and the lights were out and I called the front desk about 25 times stood there for more than 20 minutes called the extra number that was on the counter all with no response that's what made me start to think if I had not run into cleaning lady in the hallway sweeping I probably would have slept in my car that night it looks like I was disappointed that my key did not work and I could not find anyone at the front desk for more than half hour

Very nice stay. The redturant could do with a bit of vegetarian dishes and it would have been nice to have more historical information. We looked and couldn't find much... We had a very bice stay though and very romatic place.
