At first glance, this place was charming and perfect for our group. However, a few hours after checking in, we realized it was too good to be true. As soon as we checked in at 4pm, most of our group went to use the outdoor hot tub, while a few stayed upstairs watching a movie. A little before 10pm, we went to use the showers and there was NO HOT WATER. I contacted the property and was told someone was going to reach out for maintenence. I missed the call because I received it while i was on the phone with their customer service representative. I called the number back and spoke to a man who told me that we had used all the hot water. He was very rude and said we just had to wait 30 minutes or so for it to replenish. Mind you, we had not been there for long. None of us had showered or used the dishwasher (he said the dishwasher could have used all the hot water..) At 12:30am, I went to check the shower and it still did not have hot water. So most of us went to bed, covered in hot tub chlorine, or took ice cold showers. They had not sent anyone for maintenence. What made it worse was that their beds were all rock hard and the heater only worked in the common area upstairs and the master suite. Luckily, my family and friends brought extra blankets just in case... Hot water was available again at 6am. The following day, i received a text message at 2:14pm saying they sent maintenence at 7pm and there was hot water. I thought that was weird because i hadn't called with the complaint until 10pm the previous night.. The house was also very dusty. We all had allergies the whole weekend. They also only provided one roll of toilet paper per bathroom and one roll of paper towels for the kitchen. I understand in the email we received prior to checking in, we were told to bring our own cleaning supplies due to covid measures to limit contact. However, what part of not providing at least two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom and another paper towel roll for the kitchen is considered a covid measure? We did bring extra paper towels and toilet paper in case, but its such an inconvenience and cheap for them not to provide the necesseties after we paid so much to stay there. On the upside, they did provide sleds and kayaks for guest use which was nice. The location was also good. Would not book again though. I'm pretty bummed that we wasted so much money on this cabin for my birthday getaway.
