Booking was straightforward on Expedia and I opted for this one (for a party of 3) because it was closer to my intended destination, equal in price comparison to Travelodge. The difference being that the accommodation had access to a kitchen and appeared to be presented well on paper. We booked for two nights.
The Expedia booking instructions stated that any access code would be sent a day prior to the booking date. As nothing had arrived I contacted the supplier, who responded merely by confirming my booking and supplied NO access codes. I then thought the code would be sent to me on the day of the actual booking. Be warned, there is NO parking at the accommodation, nor closeby and we had to park two streets away from the accommodation, which means you will be carting your luggage back an forth…
No property access codes arrived by the time we reached at the accommodation Portswood, so I was left with NO option to telephone the supplier & left a telephone message (on the Sunday, so feared the worst). Somebody did phone me back pretty promptly and then queried whether I had made a booking and paid, and then he wanted me to send an email with that confirmation. I told him I could not do that, so after answering several more questions from the supplier, he sent me the access codes via WhatsApp. If you don’t have a smartphone, then you’re stuck with this reactive booking.
