Sehr freundliches und stets hilfsbereites Personal, alles sauber und gepflegt, sehr gutes Frühstück (full english and continental), die Terrasse liegt zwar an der Hauptstraße, ist jedoch abgetrennt mit schönem Blick auf das Meer und Elisabeth Castle. Unbedingt zu empfehlen ist das Tassili Restaurant, das sich im Hotel befindet, aber nur am Wochenende geöffnet hat. Sollte man vorher reservieren

Angepriesen als das erste Hotel am Platz ist man sich dieses Rufes wohl sehr bewusst. Wir wurden bei unserer Ankunft von einer arroganten Rezeptionistin "begrüßt ", der unsere Nasen nicht passten. Wir hatten zu ihre, Leidwesen ne Reservierung, so musste sie uns ein Zimmer geben, was ihr gar nicht passte. Das Zimmer war an sich schön, seitlicher Blick aufs Meer und die tolle Bucht vor St. Helier. Das Badezimmer war mit beeindruckenden Schimmelkulturen ausgestattet, die wir aber nicht recht zu würdigen wussten. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr üppig und lecker, der Service dazu unter aller Kanone . Kaffee gab's erst nach dreifacher Nachfrage Alles in allem ok, der Service deutlich verbesserungsbedürftig.

Nicely situated and very english hotel
Besides the fact that we've been there already 7 times and the staff asks us every time whether it is our first visit, we always enjoy our stay in the Grand Jersey. It is a bit dated and needs some updating, in particular the bathrooms, but the atmosphere is still nice and very comfortable. The pool and Spa are great, the location overlooking St Aubin Bay is just Beautiful.

Schönes oldstyle Hotel, welches leider etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Die Zimmer zum Hof sind nicht zu empfehlen. Diese sind sehr klein und ein Öffnen der Fenster, bedingt durch den Lärm im Hof, ist nicht zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück und der Service sind sehr gut.

Tolles Hotel in guter Lage mit sehr gutem Personal
Wir waren auf der Durchreise nach Guernsey für eine Nacht im Grand Jersey. Die Lobby gefiel uns auf Anhieb, der Charme vergangener Zeiten ist überall spürbar. Das Personal empfing uns freundlich und sehr zuvorkommend, allen voran war es der Concierge Hugo, der uns sofort überzeugte, dass wir äußerst willkommen sind und uns ein Team voller Leidenschaft für das Wohl und die Zufriedenheit der Gäste erwartet. Unser Zimmer in der dritten Etage (free upgrade) hatte nicht nur Meerblick, sondern auch eine kleine Loggia mit Tisch und Stühlen. Die vor dem Hotel verlaufende Hauptstraße störte entgegen allen Erwartungen unseren Schlaf nicht. Die Dusche hatte etwas wenig Druck, bei Freunden von uns, die in der ersten Etage untergebracht waren, war sie aber ganz ok (allerdings gab es in ihrem Bad nur die Option Handbrause oder Rainshower, was auch nicht jedermanns Sache ist). Alles in allem war es ein großartiger Aufenthalt im Grand Jersey und wir würden dieses luxuriöse und altehrwürdige Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen und einer großen Kette wie z.B.dem Radisson Blu vorziehen, weil es einfach charmanter und charaktervoller ist.

I loved the staff at this property. Nothing was too much trouble. Everyone of them had a smiles on their faces at all times. They always acknowledged us in the corridors or dknknv areas. Asked us where we'd been that day, joked with us. The pool, steam, sauna, hot tub were always available and the breakfast room was wonderful.

Every aspect of our three night break at this hotel exceeded our expectations. Perfect location as regards proximity to St Helier's attractions & beyond (bus routes on Jersey easy to access & navigate). Very comfortable room, spotlessly clean, superb view (directly opposite Elizabeth Castle), excellent food and drink. Its not an exaggeration to say that every member of staff modelled the very highest standards of customer care. We would recommend unreservedly - we're already planning our next visit!

We got a nice sea view room on the top floor. The staff were very helpful right around the hotel. It's a lovely location to look across the bay. Lovely breakfasts..... The steps to the leisure facilities might be problematic if you're les mobile ( I wondered if there was an accessible route, but in seeing my husband using a walking stick, nothing was pointed out to us. There appeared to be a turn down service..... which was only provided on one of the three nights we stayed. We didnt know it was a service available; it was just done on our second night...

Dear RuthThank you for taking the time to write a review. I am happy to hear that you had a mostly positive experience with us here at the Grand Jersey Hotel. I am very sorry that nobody pointed out our more accessible route to the Spa area, this other entrance does still contain some steps, but not as many as the main entrance. I am also sorry that the turn down service was only completed on one evening, I am unable to offer an explanation for this but I will look into this. I am however buoyed that you enjoyed the view from the top floor and that you were looked after well by our team.
