Our stay at this house was disappointing from the moment we arrived. When we got there, we did not have the code to access the front door. We ended up standing outside with groceries, unable to get in, until someone finally called us with the code. After a long travel day, that was not a great way to start the stay.Once inside, the house did not meet the expectations set by the price or the listing. There was a noticeable odor of mold throughout the home. The kitchen cabinets had dirty dishes inside, and many of the cabinets were already filled with random items, leaving very little space to put away our groceries. The kitchen also had an excessive number of knives, yet every single one of them was dull. The plates, glasses, and coffee mugs all felt cheap and mismatched, more like leftovers than thoughtfully stocked kitchenware.Several of the basic comforts were lacking as well. The ceiling fan in the guest room creaked constantly and made noise throughout the night. The lighting throughout the house is harsh LED lighting with no dimmer switches, which makes the space feel cold and overly bright in the evenings. The pillows on the beds are some of the flattest and most uncomfortable we have ever experienced in a rental. For a property charging what it does, the amenities were extremely underwhelming. There was only one umbrella provided, and the beach towels were very low quality. The location of the house is great, and the overall layout of the home works well.
