The condo was spacious and clean. We could see the Boca Ciega Bay/Channels and the beach from either end of the condo. The facility felt safe and had easy access coded doors. Parking was also great. It was an easy walk to the beach and Publix, as well as several other restaurants like Sloppy Joes, Britt's, and several ice-cream parlors. The host was very responsive. The pool was nice. We loved its setting where you can see the bay-channel.The pull-out sofa mattress is inadequate (zero padding... just like laying on a chainlink fence) - luckily a roll-away bed with a much better mattress was provided in the room but its pretty small. Lastly, the blinds in second bedroom did not close, so due to the security and street-lights outside, the room was not dark at all.

Location was great

Our biggest complaint were the beds. All of our backs hurt from sleeping on them. Otherwise the property was nice. The pool and hot tub were great. The location to the beach, Publix and other spots was perfect. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed for breakfast and lunch- nothing elaborate.

Overall good

Aside from a few minor housekeeping items, the place was great. The dryer lint trap was packed full before our first use (gross). I realized this after it took 3 cycles to dry our first load of clothes. Also, there was no drain plug for the sink to wash dishes. Location was perfect, within walking distance to several restaurants and right next door to the grocery.

Rundown and dirty, but great location

Overall, we were very disappointed in our rental at 101 - Palms of Treasure Island. We found the condo to be very dirty and rundown. Although we were told that there could be some outside construction during our stay, we certainly were not informed about the extent that this would affect our stay. The balcony off the master bedroom was boarded closed (even though it was advertised as having 2 functional balconies). This left the only remaining, usable balcony facing the busy Gulf Blvd. The advertised hot tub was actually boarded over and closed for the duration of our 12 night stay. While technically open, the pool was virtually unusable from 8-5 due to construction crews using air hammers running off of a generator beside the pool. While we were prepared for some noise, the noise level was intolerable. Upon arrival, the dish washer had such a stagnant smell that it was nauseating. The fridge, although clean, was so noisy when it cycled that we needed to unplug it when we watched tv in the main room. The furniture was very dirty and stained and the pillows left for the pullout bed were heavily stained and quite disgusting. We had to purchase extra pillows for our daughter to use. As well, the bed springs in the mattress on the pullout couch were so painful to lie on that we had to purchase extra blankets to add cushion. The tub was very dirty and the shower had structural damage from long term water leakage resulting in difficulty closing the shower door.

Disappointing

I have stayed at this unit multiple times unfortunately it will be my last. The unit really needs a deep cleaning! Unit was just dirty. The construction was not disclosed accurately. Construction worked on Saturday. They did refund one day. I would suggest til construction finished don’t post days or hours and disclose Balconies can be closed or have obstruction. The Isle of Palms is a great place for location, beach and grocery. I will just be looking for another unit next visit.

Stay near the Beach

Overall we had a good time, the only complaint is, is the decor of the place was run down and musky! You shouldn’t have furniture that has marks on them and just about ever dresser had them, the kitchen floor needs to be replaced even though they cleaned them it is run down! The patio furniture needs updating as well! location was great, close to everything and the Gulf right across the street! 5 star not but a solid 3 mostly because of location and easy booking and owners had everything ready from check in to check out!

Perfect July 4th Staycation

We live in Tampa so this was a quick ride over the bridge to have a really nice 5 day vacation at the beach for the Holiday weekend! The location was great, very close to restaurants and bars and easy access to the beach.

New Years with family of 5

The property was as described. Comfortable space for a family of five. Great location with grocery store next door. This was super convenient because there will be little things that might not be provided, like soap. Beach was literally just across the street! Soft white sand - beautiful sunsets. Walking distance to restaurants and some local shops. Location is very central to all of the things we wanted to do. Parking a car was easy and convenient, and it was nice to have a vehicle for the excursions we took. Balcony off the living room faces the street, so it was not very useful to us. The balcony off of the master suite had a much nicer view, but not as convenient for everyone since it is only accessible through the master bedroom. This is not a new property, but everything was in decent working condition. Coffee pot is slow, so be prepared for that. We used the kitchen a lot, especially to cook the fresh fish we caught with a local charter. Kitchen utensils and knives are dollar store quality, but we got by. Suggestions for management would be to leave a couple more rolls of paper towels and bathroom tissue for this length of stay. And for a couple more dollars, you could provide some hand soap, nicer paper products and better cutlery for the kitchen. Overall, this was a great place for what we needed and met our expectations.
