This property is owned by the same group where I had an excellent experience last year. This year, however, missed the mark and I was utterly disappointed. First, it lacked timely communication for my check in. Once I was in after making a lengthy phone call to VRBO to get a hold of the host, I was greeted by the smell of stale pizza most likely due to the pizza shop across the street as a window had been left cracked open. The bathroom smelled freshly used of a bowel movement even though the bathroom was visibly clean. The tidy apartment was on the third floor at the front of the building. Unfortunately the location echoed the very noisy busy street below well into midnight. If you’re a night owl who is looking to be in the hub-bub of the city and doesn’t mind the rev of a motorcycle or blood curdling screams from the street, this third floor apartment is for you. If you value a quiet night in, make sure to request the 8th floor apartment which hides the smells and sounds of the city and is a similar tidy apartment to the third floor unit. On my second night, a homeless man camped out in the lobby of the building. Needless to say, it was not a great vibe as it did not feel secure. Had I not had such an excellent experience in my first trip last year, I would never return.
