Great place to stay. The employees were all so friendly. Enjoyed all the animals especially the cats and Jumper the dog. Food was delicious and the views were outstanding. Would definitely stay there again.

Perfect!

This was the perfect spot! Everything was just as described and better. Perfect location for visiting Shenandoah National Park. The lodge is beautiful. My room was clean and nicely decorated. The beds were super comfortable. I loved watching the beautiful sunrise every morning . Highly recommend!!

Great stay!

Had a wonderful time and found the property and our room just lovely :) Was a little bit surprised to find that there weren't staff on premises most of the time, I might have liked to know that ahead of time. But it didn't wind up impacting our stay.

Awesome Stay!

Our stay here was one of the most enjoyable I've had anywhere. It has a National Park Lodge feel without the crowds. Very peaceful with a view! We really enjoyed the decor in the Blacksmith room especially the lamps. If you are in the Shenandoah area it is a perfect place to stay!

Breathtaking views

This was a nice, secluded place to enjoy nature and the views! The restaurant was not open when we stayed, so we were not able to try that. Easy check in and out processes and staff was very responsive when needed

Cozy, warm and lovely

This was my second time at the lodge. It's so cozy and lovely to visit. I love how there's service and help if you need it but also a lot of autonomy and space to do your own thing. It would be lovely to add an outdoor fireplace or bonfire to add to the vibe and allow for there to be outdoor stargazing.

Great Thanksgiving Stay

Loved the decor of the Blacksmith room. All the rooms I’ve stayed in are great. The Thanksgiving meal was incredible! The Staff did a terrific job assisting people and keeping the food well stocked. My wife and I will definitely do this again. Greg & Lisa - Fredericksburg, VA

The employees were lovely. The view was incredible. The staff in the restaurant were so so wonderful. We loved the themed rooms and o can’t reiterate how lovely and accommodating staff was. When we got to room, we checked the beds for bed bugs as we always do and found that one of the encasements were broken and there were millipedes all over the floor. I asked to move rooms and they were so kind and accommodated us immediately. We got to experience the school house room which was so cute but was not vacuumed and when i checked the toilet there was human waste in there and had apparently been there for quite some time. I asked to borrow their bleach and vacuum so I could clean the toilet and vacuum the room myself. While they did apologize profusely, it was kind of gross to clean. We had dinner at the restaurant which had lovely staff. It was nice for a stop off place and right on the midway point to stop and stay while driving skyline drive. Sunrise was gorgeous.

Great lodge. Away from it all.

Great lodge and facilities. Needed help with the tv and no one came. But that was minor. It was away from it all. Limited on activities. Definitely a place to get away from it all.

A wonderful last minute pit stop!

We discovered this Lodge on the end of our vacation last minute while looking for a location to break up our trip from Asheville back to New Jersey. The Lodge was better than what described online. It was so cute, clean and rustic. Our room was cozy, interesting with its Blacksmith theme, and had an awesome balcony with a great view of the Shenandoah mountains. We loved seeing the animals on the property and the old friendly Beagle who visited us. It was super convenient to have the restaurant downstairs and not having to venture out. I wish we could have stayed another night but have definitely book marked this place for future trips! The best part of our stay was waking up to the magical sunset! Highly recommend for anyone visiting the Shenandoah park area.
