    The Space:

    Waterwheel Retreat is a beautiful custom log home just one mile from Sturgis, set in a picturesque spot with an adjacent working water wheel, a pond with a picnic area, and a cedar bridge — off a quiet dead-end frontage road with easy I-90 access. Two of the bedrooms have king beds and one has two queen beds; there is a queen sofa sleeper in the loft and a 50-inch flatscreen with Blu-ray for movie nights.



    Relax in the private patio hot tub, grill dinner on the gas grill, and enjoy two fireplaces, a game table, air conditioning, free WiFi, and softened water. A cozy, well-equipped home base for touring the Black Hills — minutes from Sturgis Rally action, Deadwood, and Mount Rushmore.

Comfortable cabin

The cabin is very spacious and comfortable! The beds were so comfortable to sleep in! My kids enjoyed having the upstairs to themselves.

The house was very clean, the beds comfortable. The house is close enough to the interstate that it can be hard to have a quiet conversation on the front porch. Other than that a nice house and stay.

How many VRBOs do you stay at and then wake up stiff and sore!? This place has the comfiest bed and best pillows. Nice work! Everything was clean. Nice place.

Home with a view

Very relaxing place; near the highway but not overly loud. Place was very clean and beds are comfy. There is adequate towels and hygiene products. Nice view of the hills from the upstairs balcony. Close to everything you need to do in West South Dakota

Perfect weekend getaway

Plenty of room for large groups. Beds were some of the most comfortable and clean. Only drawback was refrigerator needed a good cleaning due to a blood spill causing smell and weird film on all the glassware.

The kids loved the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable and nice sheets, and it had a pack and play in the highchair which worked out great! Didn’t feel like we were all on top of each other. We all had our own rooms which was great.

The only issue we had was finding the place in the dark. Maybe leave a porch light, and Apple Maps has the address off.
