« I was looking for a hotel with an indoor swimming pool, a room with a sea view, close to the city centre and within 130£. And I found the Cumberland. The indoor swimming pool is in the hotel next door ( Suncliff). The staff and the management were brilliant. Always helpful and friendly at all stages. The breakfast starts at 7 am and was quite comfortable. The restaurant and the bar are very cosy. The only negative part is that the walls between rooms are very thin but… the clientele was good...

« We had a calm and peaceful stay, with two good nights of sleep. Room was pretty big. However, this hotel is a bit old fashioned with out of date rooms and style. Didn’t like at all the 6£ tax/person a day, every day, for using the pool and jaccuzzi. That’s not a cheap hotel : it should be included in the room rate. Bit stingy. And annoying. »
