I was very disappointed when checking in to be told that the parking, one of the reasons we booked there, was not available and an alternative arrangement round the corner would cost us a further $35. I went online later to see the same room on offer for $65 dollars less. The window blind was tatty and ripped and the sink was cracked in the room.

Kind of cramped quarters, but not an unfair deal for the price, especially in Sydney. Accommodations in Sydney are difficult at best, and while this place is no 5 star experience, it's perfectly adequate as a crash pad and included a refrigerator. I didn't come across anything I would call a show stopper or a major problem, and the staff was pretty good about helping out with a minor problem that appeared--the card programmer leading to no availability of door keys for a time--but the staff helped folks out with that. Ran them ragged I'm afraid, hope they got it sorted.

The hotel is terrible. We asked for the bed linen and towels to be changed twice and they didn't do it. There weren't many options for breakfast, just bread, jam, butter and cereal, for a breakfast that was PAID for, the experience was not pleasant. The room we asked for for 4 people was very cramped, it should have accommodated a maximum of 2 people, the bathroom was very small, there was no door separating it from the beds. I don't recommend it and I wouldn't stay there again. TERRIBLE!

Terrible Stay
In our first room our air conditioner rained like a tap saturating the carpet. We were moved to a second room where the air conditioner was on hot when we entered the room and would only slightly cool. Also the power went off twice in the 12 hours we were there! A fuse had to be reset each time. The room was not fresh and was very smelly with no windows for fresh air! However, the staff were pleasant and helpful. How sad for them to work in this unmaintained environment, having to deal with housekeeping issues and such basic maintenance problems. Also, how sad is it that we welcome overseas visitors to this third world environment in our premier entertainment precinct in Sydney! If I visited, I would never return. Infact, I am local and I will never return! Shame on you Ibis Budget for letting us all down!

Whilst the Ibis is convenient for concerts at Homebush, the air conditioning leaked and we couldn't have it on overnight as the water dripping out was very loud. The staff were great getting us towels etc for the floor, but you couldn't get to the hotel door or bathroom without being dripped on. Staff tried really hard to help us out.
