« Chambre confortable malgré une déco un peu désuète. La localisation est idéale, à proximite des Quais et du centre ville ! Le pub est calme le soir et tres sympa. En revanche, l'isolation thermique est à refaire... on a eu très chaud et il était difficile de rafraichir la chambre. »

« Staff was very helpful and friendly, everything you need is there. Only downside is the rooms need updating but as I said everything you need is there. »

« The bedroom is really comfortable, the breakfast is delicious (I finally tried the typical English one), the hotel is very close to St David's station (less than 5 minutes walking in the rain and carrying a heavy luggage), and also to the city center. The bathroom was shared with one another bedroom, but it was cleaned quite often. »

« Nous avons manqué de chance, nous sommes certainement tombés sur la seule chambre (n°6) bruyante (la fenêtre ne ferme pas et on entend le bruit de la circulation comme si on était dans la rue) avec une sdb minuscule (80 cm de large!) ne disposant que d'un tout petit lavabo, une seule table de nuit et n'ayant que des stores vénitiens à la place de rideaux pour la nuit. En arrivant on a dû demander de changer une ampoule sur une lampe en mauvais état. Les 4 étoiles ne se justifient pas à ce niveau...

« Great option for a low cost stay within easy walking distance of the centre. Free parking- reception will provide a pass to display in your car. Good, clean rooms with tea & coffee making facilities. Towels and a small bar of soap provided, but no shampoo or shower gel. Excellent breakfast with plenty of hot and cold dishes, vegan/ vegetarian options, juices, tea and coffee. Would definitely stay again. »

« Friendly staff, great location for the museum, theatre, seafront and harbour. There is a bus stop right outside for Barnstaple for shopping. We asked if we could have a ground floor room when we booked and that was what we were given. The bathroom was large and very clean. We had to leave early as our granddaughter was unwell and the night staff were very helpful. We would stay in this hotel again. Only downside was the decor was a bit tired in our room. »

« While the concept of having rental rooms above a pub is charming in theory, I can assure you, it’s less romantic in reality. The room we rented was very tiny, not the cleanest, and musty. It was equipped enough to dwell for the night but the mattress felt very old and it squeaked at any slight movement. Also, the noise from the pub activity was incredibly loud (hence the ear plugs provided) and once that subsided, our lovely “neighbours” in the room next to us blasted music and babbled drunkenly...

« !! BE CAREFUL PRIVACY IS NOT GUARANTEED IN THIS HOTEL !! The manager take the right to enter in your room while you are naked to take you out of the room even if the front desk agreed to give you a late checkout at 12:00. Police has to come to fix this situation. WHERE ARE WE TO PROCEED LIKE THIS IN A 4 STARS HOTEL IN 2023 ? No Apologies from anybody. We are still waiting the full remboursement of the reservation. »
