„I stayed at the Tavern for one night Monday 6/10/25 prior to attending a funeral. I had read previous reviews criticising road noise. Whilst it was heard,I didn’t find it an issue at all. Had a good nights sleep in a comfy bed. Superb bathroom- i loved the large soaker tub- hard to find a room with bath these days. Staff were very friendly and food was hot and tasty with portions on the large side! Would definitely stay here again.“

„It was refreshing to stay somewhere with such individuality rather than the usual chain hotels. Beautifully furnished throughout, with fabulous attention to detail, so much to look at. Breakfast was excellent, a good range of continental and cooked choices, with local ingredients. Slightly outside the village, they provided a chauffeur service to and from any of the restaurants in the evening in their electric Mercedes minibus. „Eigentlich ein tolles altes Gebäude aber der Zustand war ehr heruntergekommen. Das Bad war eine Zumutung nur mit Badewanne ohne Duschmöglichkeit. Sehr hellhörig.“

„Staff couldn’t do enough to help us. The room was impeccable quality. Our bed was comfortable, we loved the huge bath tub in the room and the welcome gifts and coffee machine added a nice touch. The only minor issues we found, was the room was extremely cold on arrival, however the room had its own thermostat which we were able to increase and quickly warm up the room. The automatic lights in the toilet and wash area were inconvenient in the middle of the night but easy to block out by closing ...
