« Absolutely delightful hotel. Me and a friend booked a room each for the Hay Festival, and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The staff were wonderful; helpful, friendly, even showed us to our rooms. The location was great, not too far away but far enough that I’d was quiet and tranquil. The breakfast is well worth the money, as is the Old Barn pub across the road, where we ate that night. A fantastic stay, I can’t wait to return with my husband next time. »

La chambre est absolument fabuleuse, magnifiquement décorée, du thé, des tisanes, du café, bonbons et petit gâteau sans parler des produits de toilette mis à disposition. Une chambre dans laquelle on a envie de passer des heures de lecture dans un des fauteuils très confortables ou à regarder la TV. L’emplacement est très proche du centre ville qui reste accessible très rapidement à pieds. »

« There were things I liked and didn’t like about this stay. The staff were really friendly, the drinks at the bar were cheap, the locals were really friendly and very social. The breakfast was good the next day and in hindsight, we should have had dinner here as it all looked home made and reasonably priced. « A lovely old-fashioned hotel in a stunning setting. Comfortable, clean, cozy. On arrival we were surprised to find nobody there even though we'd waited for reception opening time. Our keys were in a plastic bag pinned to a cork board. Explanations were confusing. Breakfast was an epic adventure. The gas stove had broken down and a tremendous effort was made by staff to provide us with a very good Welsh breakfast that was well worth waiting nearly an hour for. « Bien placé pour découvrir les sites avec un grand parking. Par contre la literie avec des matelas à ressorts et des lits pour deux assez étroits, par rapport à ce qui se fait pour ce prix, ce n'est pas acceptable. On a signalé qu'on avait mal dormi quand on nous a demandé si tout allait bien, sans plus de considération. Pour dîner, prévoir 2h de service. L'espace piscine est vieillissant. »
