Cute place, rustic. 2 double beds so make sure you like who you share with :) Location is amazing, 25 feet to the private dock and lake. Had everything we needed for 5 days. No a/c but has ceiling fans. A free public boat launch is 1/4 mile down the road making it easy in and out.
It was the perfect size for my husband and I. I think any more people would be crowded. The bedrooms are very small and the bed was not comfortable. We fished off the dock a caught a lot of fish. The neighbors are closer than we expected (with barking dogs) which was an inconvenience at times. Itâs not the properties problem i understand that. The driveway is very tight and would not fit a trailer. Overall itâs a cute little cabin!
Beautiful little cottage on the water. Great fishing off the dock. Resort with full bar and great food just 3 doors down. Close to town if you need anything. Cottage could use some speucing up inside
We loved the cute little cabin and it was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our morning and evening bonfires overlooking Medicine Lake were so enjoyable. The mattress and box springs should be replaced. The rust stains on the plumbing fixtures from the well water need to be removed. All the window treatments need to be replaced as they are dirty, torn and faded. No hairdryer, although one is listed as provided. VACASA, the property manager, never replied to me regarding several questions.
Very nice, however, needs attention to possible dangers!
Back yard had weeds 2 feet tall. Between deck and pier are many tree roots above ground. Steps down into the water from the pier were covered with algae. That was just like stepping on black ice. My right foot slipped and my left foot got caught in the steps and went behind me. Had to go to Ortho doctor when I got home. Left knee has a sprained MCL. My left knee and left hip are replacements, so this was actually very fortunate. It could have been much worse!
The cottage was great. Lake view was great. Peaceful and quiet. Nice restaurant within walking distance. The total problem was that the main area of use, back yard and down to the lake, need to be fixed. There is a nice ramp from the front door to the parking area. I suggest putting one in from the deck to the pier, and of course, doing what needs to be done to get the algae off the steps from the pier into the water. That not being done is total negligence. Someone could really get hurt badly, like break a leg or ankle.
Excellent location for someone looking to spend time out on the area lakes. Dock provided with property and a boat launch is a half mile away. Quiet neighborhood and town is a short drive away.
Loved everything about this trip (except the weather which is out of any control). Most charming cabin ever, perfect location. Excellent dock and water access. Quiet location, lots of nature and fish. Cabin well equipped with everything needed for a home away from home. So very comfortable with an amazing view. Can't wait to visit again (and hopefully for longer when warmer and drier)
We were very happy with the layout and accommodations. One problem we had was that there were no forks in the wood cabinet drawer next to the dining table. We bought plastic forks at the local store. Later we found the forks plus other utensils located in basket between the microwave and coffee maker. Apparently, they had not been put back in the drawer. One amazing surprise we discovered was that there were muskies in the weed bed that was located all along the shore. My son caught a 40in long muskie a few cabins down from the one we were in.
the cabin was very clean and ready for our stay, how ever the listing included a gas grill, unfortunately the grill was not usable, the spark ignitor was not working, and both lp tanks were empty. to my surprise there was a charcole grill there but the cooking grates were to rusty to use, i was able to improvise. This is an area that could be improved apon . otherwise i would deffently recomend. Gary G.
Great cabin with a great location. The cabin had easy access to Three lakes downtown or an easy walk to pike point bar & grill which had great atmosphere & food. Very comfortable with our family of 4 with 2 toddlers. Only downside was the beds were very high so we had our 3yr old sleep on the futon in the living room so it worked out well. Iâd recommend & keep in mind if we returned.
We had a very nice time and overall great experience! The cabin was the perfect size for my spouse and I. The views were incredible and the property is just steps away from the lake. The location is within walking distance of a bar and grill - they had a great Friday night fish fry!
Bring your own chairs for around the fire pit - there are a few at the property but they were metal and we preferred our own cloth chairs for a cozy night by the fire.
Unfortunately the gas grill unusable - the grease tray was so full that it was catching on fire.
Great location. Great access to the dock. Great layout. Driveway a little rough for backing in a boat trailer, but trailer parking along road was available. Everything was provided. Coffee maker did not have an automatic shut off. Bed frame only comfortable for people less that 6-feet tall.
We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin is very cute, dock is great for hanging out and we had a short walk to the restaurant/bar down the road. This property was right on a nice and quiet lake and the lake view was very relaxing. Cabin and rooms were smaller than we thought but property has been updated and was clean. The only thing we didn't like was that the cabin claims to sleep 4 but only had 2 full size beds and one futon in the living room area. Be sure to bring a few chairs for sitting on the dock. Overall a very nice quaint cabin and property.
