« We really enjoyed the quiet village and the house's amazing views of the volcano and lake! We saw beautiful birds everywhere. Loved the swings and the 3rd floor lookout! So peaceful. The only drawbacks were, one night the neighborhood dogs barked for an hour and we had a little trouble finding the house but Erika went out of her way to talk us through it and had her daughter meet us! « We were looking for a place that felt more "local Costa Rican" and this was perfect. Ericka was our host and was SO knowledgeable and helpful! Wwe didnt end up doing any excurions, but she was able and ready to help us with booking if we desired as well. She did help us connect with Lilander Horseback tour right up the road, which was absolutely wonderful as well. Loved the views, and the town! »

« This is a truly a magical place. It is close enough to the Arenal touristy area but private and tucked away in nature. You will not only be in clouds but also above the clouds sometimes and hear the rain below!The one thing people might note is that the road to this place is not fully paved. So the access is a bit bumpy. But if you are truly looking for a remote place it comes with the package. The host is super responsive and helpful.
