Vollkommen in Ordnung
Wirklich besser als erwartet. Wenige Schritte von Yorkville gelegen und in unmittelbarer Nähe zur U-Bahn. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Parkplätze an der Straße stehen gegen Gebühr bereit. Wir haben für 3 Tage 45$ bezahlt. An der Sauberkeit gab es nichts zu bemängeln, trotzdem ist es ein Hostel, kein Hotel. Das heißt es wird nicht täglich gereinigt. Badezimmer stehen ausreichend zur Verfügung. Eine voll ausgestattete Küche gibt es ebenso. Die Betten sind allerdings etwas hart, nicht Jedermanns Sache. Dafür aber wirklich sauber.

Sauberes Hostel mit zentraler Lage.
Das Hostel hat eine tolle Lage, nur wenige Minuten von der Subway entfernt. Das Zentrum ist in 20 Min. zu Fuß zu erreichen oder in 10 Min mit der Subway. In nahen Umfeld befinden sich zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, ein Supermarkt befindet sich direkt gegenüber. Das Hostel selbst ist sauber und ordentlich. Bäder befinden sich ausreichend auf jeder Etage. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Hellhörigkeit, je nach dem, wo das Zimmer liegt ist es schon sehr laut.

Out of all the hostels I have stayed at during my travels, this is one of the best. The front desk clerk was super nice and helpful. Hostel owners from all over, should take a lesson from him.

OK hostel.
Som hostel er det OK. Værelset havde det, som forventes, men det kan føles lidt klaustrofobisk at bo i en kælder uden vindue. Faciliteterne i fælleskøkkenet var gode, og bad/toiletforhold var rene og pæne.

My daughter's arms,back,stomache&hands covered with bites. Went to see a doctor. Doctor said they are bed bug bites. I found bed bugs on my pillow. Room not cleaned during stay until I show pillow w/bed bugs. Common washrooms & kitchen minimal cleaning. Paid $180/night thru Expedia. Other guests booked with hostel website paid $125/night. Exact same room (2 double beds) w/ 2 guests. Will NOT book thru Expedia in future. Difference too high. Will book with property directly.

Did not give the room that was requested and claimed my credit card declined. Was stuck in a very small bedroom with limited space for lugguage to be unpacked. Bed was very itchy and uncomfortable. Rude and unwelcoming staff. Terrible stay.

Hice mi reserva un mes antes y me hicieron el cargo completo en mi tarjeta aun y cuando decía que tenía que pagar directamente en el hostal. Intente llamar tantas veces como pude y jamás me contestó alguien, incluso envie correos y los mismo nadie contestaba. Los que me terminaron ayudando un poco fueron los de Hoteles.com solo quería asegurar que no me quisieran cobrar nuevamente. Al final no me hospede es el hostal ya qué un amigo de Toronto me dijo que podía quedarme en su casa. Intente recuperar algo del pago qué realize y no fue posible. En este punto si bien es cierto qué la política es de no reembolso, el hostal deberia reconsiderar dar un porcentaje de vuelta. Ya que en cuanto me présente al Hostal y dar mi versión de porque no me hospede allí el señor encargado simplemente se negó a escuchar y decir que no habría nada de reembolso. En cuanto puse un pie afuera del hostal el mismo encargado realizo mi check out, aun y cuando yo tenía aun 5 días más de estancia. Lo cual le daba espacio para poder rentar mi lugar a otra persona. Osea doble pago por mi espacio. No puedo dar opinión acerca de las instalaciones porque jamás vi las habitaciónes. Por fuera si esta bastante deteriorado y luce como una casa super vieja.

Toronto is an expensive city for hotels anywhere near the downtown area. This place while expensive for a hostel is close to downtown, only 3 minutes from the sherborn subway station. There is a McDonald’s and large cheap supermarket across the street. Also many restaurants nearby. I had a private room which was clean and comfortable although dark. The manager was very nice

The hostel is good. It’s well-located, close to the subway and Bloor. The area is clean and the kitchen has all that is needed for a quick meal. The problem was that on the first night, they put us in a room that had a solar roof and you couldn’t close it up. So by morning, the room was all bright as if the sun was in the bed. We complained and at first, they said they couldn’t do anything. Later that day, we talked to another staff member and they moved us to a very good large room. We stayed there for almost the entire period, but then on the day before checkout, they told us that we had to move since they’d booked the room we were in. They said it was because I had booked a double room but was in a twin bed room. We didn’t choose the rooms. I booked from my country and I couldn’t possibly have known about the rooms. Also, the later room we stayed in didn’t have air conditioning. When we asked about that, they said it was central AC. I couldn’t sleep that night because of the heat. In summary, it’s well-located and we mostly liked our stay there but given what happened, I wouldn’t come back.

Standard triple with private bathroom was excellent. Staff excellent. Access to all areas of toronto excellent. Quiet. Safe. Metro 5 minutes away. Wifi good. Price cheap by Toronto standards but remember its a hostel not a hotel ( though pretty close). Kitchen facilities excellent. Would stay again. Better value than a hotel. Which are a rip off in Toronto.

It’s not in the best area but neither was the location bad. It’s a budget no frills option so expectations should be at that level but I can’t fault my stay. I had a twin room with a shared bathroom and shared well appointed kitchen. Sharing was no hassle, the building and room was clean and in good order, plenty hot water with good water pressure, quiet, beds were comfortable, the room had a working but quiet modern aircon, staff were friendly and you could come and go whenever you wanted. The metro was close by. There was no street parking for non residents unless you want to risk $150 fine and given the vulture like regularity of the parking enforcement attendants that’s a certainty - but there is an option for a secure garage space. Contact staff at the time of booking and check if it’s available. It will cost $20 per day, Well worth it. Highly recommend.

The man who was working on the morning of May 1 was rude and wasn’t helpful. There was not enough toilet paper for the people that were staying and I had to go ask for more toilet paper many times during my stay. The man that I mentioned above didn’t help me with it but just told me to go check the other bathrooms with a bad attitude. It was morning, so many people were using the bathrooms and I ended up not getting any paper when I needed it. Using the bathroom is a daily necessity and because of that, my stay there was very stressful and unpleasant. The man who helped us check in on April 28 was nice and helpful.

Great location. Great on-site staff. But they do overbook. They had a gentleman sleeping in the common area. So i felt it was inappropriate for me to use the area that I had paid for while the gentleman was sleeping. I also had requested a lower bunk. When I got the hostel, they said I would have to change rooms for that, and it would cost me $20. This is not a charge I should have to pay, since I asked fir it, prior to check in.

No me dejaron pasar, me presenté y querían que volviera a pagar, ya había realizado el pago desde el día 23 de marzo, el dueño o encargado que me atendió no o es vilingue y tiene un mal trato al cliente, en ningún momento el anuncio dice pagar en mostrador o pagar al momento de estar en el negocio, la persona que me atendió me dijo que no puedo pagar desde mexico,y toda vía se burló de mí diciéndome no hay pago hasta vista. Hablé al banco y me dijo que estaba en proceso el pago, el saldo ya fue descontado de mi cuenta, no le di cancelar, ya que hable con una persona de Expedia quien metió un reporte pora reclamo y negociación del rembolso. Esperando la respuesta sea favorable a mi favor y reembolsen el dinero que se me descontó,para no hacercarcarme a una dependencia del gobierno canadiense y reclamar el motivo del detalle.

Three of us spent the weekend here for the same price a hotel would charge for one night. The rooms were clean, the water pressure in the bathroom isn't great but had hot water and a hair dryer. No toiletries so bring your own. Kitchen had supplies for preparing basic meals. A stones throw away from the subway station. Walls are thin so bring earplugs if neighbors snoring bothers you. We would happily stay here again.
