The Ellington Court Apartment - Stunning, Chic, Two Bed Accommodation

  • The Ellington Court Apartment is a fantastic, spacious two bedroom apartment (each with their own ensuites) on the ground floor of one of Torquay's grand Victorian Villas. It sits in the St Luke's area of Torquay which means it is wonderfully central yet extremely peaceful. The property has a blue plaque dedicated to a former resident of the property war hero Philip Leslie Johns who conducted operations behind enemy lines in The Netherlands and Belgium in World War 2.

    Today, Ellington Court is a very well maintained property and the apartment is located on the ground floor with its parking space immediately outside. This means it is wonderfully easy for loading and unloading luggage etc. The apartment is also on one level and has tiled flooring throughout which means that families or guests with some restricted mobility might find it suitable.

    The apartment features a modern, well equipped kitchen with all the appliances you would expect from a top quality holiday rental. Immediately next to the kitchen is the dining area with a large table and six chairs. For guests who may have to work while their away this can also double up as a useful work space. The dining room leads to the living room area which is flooded with light from its dual aspect windows. Here guests will be able to really spread out and relax as there are two sofas plus an arm chair. There is a large SMART TV so that guests will be able to access normal TV plus any streaming services they might have accounts with.

    The apartment has two bedrooms. The main bedroom has a wonderful luxury King Sixed Bed (UK size 5 foot width). There is plenty of storage space, a TV plus an ensuite with shower, wash basin and toilet. The second bedroom has a double bed (UK size 4ft 6inches width). It too features plenty of storage, a TV and an ensuite with shower, basin and toilet.

    For the convenience of guests there is also a cloakroom with basin and toilet.

    We are delighted to accept well behaved dogs into the apartment. There is a maximum of one per visit. Dogs must not be left unattended and we ask for paws on floors during their stay. Additional charges do apply and guests are fully responsible for any damage done by their pet.

    Outside at the rear of the building, there is an area of communal lawn from which there are some stunning views of the Bay. It is requested that children should not be left unsupervised in this area.

    The car parking space is accessed by electric gates which means the parking is secure.

Lovely place and location

Lovely place to stay with everything we needed. The location was good as well, the walk back up the hill from the seafront is a bit of a walk but is not that bad either and taxis up and down are not that badly priced. Would definitely stop again.

Lovely place to stay

As with other properties the apartment was immaculate. Decorated for Christmas which was nice. Everything you need including for our dog which was really helpful as we forgot his blanket. Would highly recommend to others

Five Star everything

Super well appointed kitchen with all utensils coffee sugar and milk provided. Even has a pizza cutter! Extremely modern and clean with serve half way through our 10 day stay. Many outings to do and great restaurants down Abbey Road to the harbour. One view of the harbour in the living room and a nice grassy bit it weather is nice. Great stay all round. Highly recommend with 2 bedrooms with nice ensuite showers.

Excellent all round holiday accommodation

We were all surprised and delighted when we arrived at the apartments. Everything about the property was beautifully presented and organised. Plenty of room for two couples and our dog who was also well catered for. The large garden is situated close enough for his regular visits making the apartment amongst the most dog friendly we’ve stayed in. Although most of our trips involved the car, we were all able to make several walks to the front, even me with my walking stick! Thanks for everything Adam.

Lovely apartment. Clean and comfortable.

The location wasn't the best but the apartment was good. Just a few issues need sorting. Left a note for the letting agency. The second bedroom could do with a set of drawers. It's a shame there is only one parking space especially as the lower car parking area was never full, only two other vehicles there all week. Parking on the street for our second vehicle was a bit of a mare, very busy streets, parking near, not always possible.

We have stayed in apartments either owned or managed by Adam and Grant for several years and they're all excellent. The Ellington is the best yet. Superbly decorated and in a great location. Very quiet area with a wonderful view out over the beach from the private garden. We've already booked for next Easter

Why choose this apartment

This apartment met an extremely high standard. Decor was beautifully done and everything you could want to as provided. From games, jigsaws, bath robes, soft towels, comfy beds and linen. Large lounge and bedrooms and lovely large table for jigsaws. We managed to get a wheel chair in the apartment. Neighbours where lovely and helpful. Great views from the garden. Lovely booklet helping you decide where to eat. Very dog friendly apartment we had 2. Adam from the agency went to lots of trouble to help with catering for GF and where to eat. Excellent apartment. Restaurants within walking distance. Tesco express also walking distance. Lovely fish and chips and ice cream shakes and fresh donuts in town. Amazing restaurants. this is an apartment you will not regret choosing.

We enjoyed a weeks stay at Ellington Court in March 2022. It is a beautiful recently refurbished apartment with WiFi, smart TV’s, a well equipped kitchen, private parking space right outside, all on one level which was perfect for us with our baby. It also has a garden area with lovely views over the seafront. It is in an excellent location, just a 5 minute walk down to the seafront where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars to choose from. The pictures don’t do this apartment justice. We would definitely recommend and we look forward to booking again!

Luxury Apartment

Ellington Court Apartment did not disappoint! The apartment has a parking space which is very close to the entrance of the property which is very convenient. If you walk around the front of the property there is a lovely sea view where I enjoyed the sunrise with a cup of tea in the morning. The apartment has been decorated beautifully and it offered everything we needed for our stay. There is so much to do in Torquay and the surrounding areas and this property is a great base to explore. Thank you for a great holiday experience! We can’t wait to revisit again soon. Laura xx
