« In spite of some very lovely staff, this hotel is in an appalling state and desperately need of a facelift. Water damage on the walls, peeling paint, leaking toilets, a broken shower and windows that haven’t been cleaned in years. The owners need to spend a lot of money on this establishment that must have been spectacular in the past, as neither it or the staff deserve it being left in this state. »

« The Nutshell is a lovely little place, perfect for a stay in Whitby. Great location close to the harbour and town centre. Very clean and everything you need, hob, oven and all crockery and utensils. Nice feel to the place, makes you feel like you’re at the seaside. Great communication with the owners. Would 100% stay again. I was there for a week and had a wonderful time. »

« Absolutely lovely cottage, clean, cosy and in the perfect location. We have had a great time. Very steep stairs inside the property and a fairly short bed so if you are super tall with mobility problems it might be difficult but for us it was perfect. »

« Was perfect. 5 minutes walk to the beach 2 outside areas, 1 was a sun trap and sheltered from the wind Great showers, nice white towels, lovely beds and sheets TVs in each room, great internet speeds (75mb) and if you take your appleTV or similar can plug straight into router in main living room. « We had a great time staying in this lovely house. It's really well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We are a family of five and there was plenty of room in the lounge for us all to sit together on the big settee. The house is situated in a great location, near to the town, not far from the seafront, just great for walking anywhere really. There's a parking space at the house, which is a big bonus.
