It got to 85 degrees outside. The portable AC unit in the living/kitchen area kept that area cool enough for sure, but did not really cool off the sleeping areas even with the doors open and turning it on upon arrival and keeping it on through the night. « This summer was our second year staying at this location. The unit is very clean and well organized. The location is perfect as the gateway to the Keweenaw Peninsula - everything to explore is accessible as a day trip. Renee and Basil are also great hosts as they were readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had during our stay. »

« Another fantastic week at the Homestead in the Beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We spent the week fishing, boating, playing games, eating and drinking til our hearts were content! This cabin has made us so many memories and we will be back next year for sure! Tom is a phenomenal host and always gets back to me so quickly!!! We Love staying here! « Cozy place. Hyper clean. Location couldn’t be better for town access. Our host made everything easy to navigate. House rules were simple an, made for an easy stay. We stay up here several times a year for all activities. Usually with friends. Sometimes it’s just nice to have your own space. The Lighthouse is perfect for that. We’ll definitely stay here again. Looking forward to the upstairs project so, we can bring our whole clan! »

« This is an older property that's well kept up. The main bathroom is large and very nice - great if you have a group of women getting ready at the same time! We didn't go downstairs at all so cannot speak for those amenities but the rest of the house was comfortable. We needed 3 bedrooms so this worked out great for us. »
