The houses are lovely and well decorated. We were in Tucson for a photo shoot and the house is quite dark which made getting ready a challenge, but that is no fault of the property. We had a real issue with giant ants coming in from under the door each evening, but a little bug spray around the perimeter of the doors helped. Beautiful coyotes came to visit the property each morning, which was fun.

Fun entertaining house but needs TLC

Attended a U of A graduation and Had our young adult kids stay in casita and us in the main house .Main house had nice size kitchen but guest bedroom had a noisy ceiling fan , master had a missing smoke detector and an uncovered light on the shower stall. In casita there was a smoke detector just hanging by the wire. More comfy couch in the casita. It’s a great house but needs some touch ups . Pool area was clean warm and enjoyable with built in grill. Had many fake silk plants outside which looked like dead plants which defeats the purpose. Private and cozy area and has potential just needs attention .

Beautiful Property

My wife, our two dogs and I stayed at "Oro Valley House" for a week over New Year's. We had a great experience and would gladly stay here again. The house is situated in a quiet neighborhood of similar upscale properties. The exterior is beautifully landscaped, with the "back yard" including a heated pool (still a little chilly in January) and a hot tub (perhaps a little overdosed with chlorine). There are comfortable outdoor seating and dining areas. The back patio area is enclosed with a wall, enabling dog owners to let their pets out without worries, albeit using care to collect any doggy "souvenirs". Finally, the view overlooking Oro Valley is beautiful, particularly at night. The interior of the house offers generous seating areas. Our favorite was the family room off the kitchen, with a gas fireplace--Very cozy in the colder months. The kitchen is adequately equipped, although plates and flatware are the usual hodgepodge found in many rental properties. Beds and baths are well provisioned with linens, soaps, etc. Communication with the rental agency was straightforward, with the only minor glitch in the stay being addressed promptly. Despite some small quibbles, we would be happy to return.

Weekend Trip

The house was beautiful and wonderfully decorated in the southwest style! It’s in a great location near shopping, groceries, golf and hiking trails. We would highly recommend the house to other couples!

Great Getaway!!

Perfect place to get away. Great views, LOTS of space! Very clean, up-to-date appliances. Kitchen has a ton of room to cook! This place is ALL on one floor, no stairs, so it has great access for everyone! The pool was chilly, but nice!! After breakfast, we let lose in the hot-tub!! I would suggest bringing music/speaker. We used our phone speakers, regretted not bringing the Bluetooth. Has everything else you can think of. Andy, the property manager was very responsive, answered any questions I had. Even though Andy was present and available, it felt like we had the place to ourselves. A true getaway!

Nope

First things first- the door code did not work when we arrive to get into the house. Had to text two times and then finally I called and got an answer after a half an hour. The place is not up to code and very unclean. There’s so many things are wrong with this house. The monsoons came through and I contacted the property manager to let them know that there was trees down, galvanized roofing down from the neighbors sheds, and etc (just to be kind). A day and a half later somebody shows up at seven in the morning to clean up everything. I contacted the property manager said it’s way too early for people on vacation for somebody to the outside my door (which literally did not have any coverings to the bedrooms) and he said that the owner was the one who set it up. Excuses, excuses… The bottom line is would I ever stay here again??? That’s a big fat NOPE

UofA Graduation -Family Celebration

Our family of 6 (adults) attended our daughter’s graduation from UofA this week and had a lovely stay at Hopdown. The layout of the property provided ample space for us all to enjoy plenty of quality time together, as well as areas to retreat for quiet time, nature walks, and naps poolside. The home is well equipped with all necessities for a comfortable stay and we hope to find a reason to return again someday soon.

Atua Place is absolutely incredible.

It was actually better than the photos. The back patio with the pool was fantastic. There are plenty of places outside for dining, cocktails and lounging. There are many birds and great birdsong. Inside is thoughtfully decorated with tasteful details everywhere. The kitchen is well stocked and roomy with plenty of counter space. The master bedroom has French doors to the pool deck as well as an amazing bathroom with a deep soaking tub overlooking the valley. The neighborhood is beautiful, neighbors are friendly, and our host was wonderful. He stopped by to see if we needed anything and to let us know he was available 24/7. We can't wait to return to Atua Place. The only thing I didn't like about it was leaving.

Sooooo beautiful and relaxing!!!

Our family of 5 adults rented this property for a week. There were 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths which allowed for privacy for us all. The house is clean, spacious, comfortable, and has the best views from the pool/hot tub area. We did go out to eat a few times however we took advantage of the kitchen and grill. It was nice to be able to fix our own meals and enjoy them at our own leisurely pace. Because of a rise in COVID cases, it was nice to have that option as well. There are grocery stores, restaurants and many fun things to do close by. There is also an emergency room which I unfortunately had to utilize when I fell and broke my ankle. The master bedroom with the king size bed, attached bathroom and TV came in handy on that last day for that reason! One of the property owners stopped by and that was very nice. We discovered that we had both grown up in small towns in MN just 17 miles apart! I would highly recommend renting this property. I do not think you would be disappointed!!

Beautiful desert property!

What a wonderful stay! Very clean and well-cared for property. Beautiful artwork throughout, comfortable furniture and beds, fully stocked kitchen, and a resort-like pool with entertainment area. Attention to detail and an artistic vibe throughout. Can’t recommend this property enough. Plenty of room for families (and dogs) to spread out and enjoy the amenities. We will definitely book a return visit. Thank you for sharing this lovely home!

Property is run down and somewhat unclean

I took lots of video for the property manager to highlight all that was wrong with this visit. - the property was very dirty on the outside. It was clear no one swept, used a blower, or cleaned the outdoor furniture. When we arrived, I spent most of my time sweeping, vacuuming and cleaning (it was a drag) - the leg on the couch fell off when my mother sat on the couch - the kitchen faucet handle was so loose and rotated around when trying to turn it on - the oven would was not working properly. It would turn on but not get to temperature so baking/cooking was not successful. We baked corn bread for over an hour and it still was uncooked in the middle :( - the dishwasher was broken. On the third day it was replaced. We arrived on a Wed and the dishwasher was replaced on a Wed even though I let the manager know it was inoperative that Sunday (lots of washing and drying dishes) - the head boards on two of the beds are not connected to anything so they literally fall forward. I was told to push the mattress up against the headboard to solve the issue - the master bath toilet seat was so loose it rotated when you sat on it - the pool area was so dirty with sand and confetti from a previous guest. I spent an inordinate amount of time sweeping I sent videos to Mark, who was kind and responsive. On Wednesday, a gentleman arrived to replace the dishwasher, fix the couch, the toilet in the master and looked at the headboards. We paid a lot of money to stay at this VRBO. It was a very disappointing stay. The property has lots of potential but is run down.

Great resort like stay!

Wonderful house rental. Super clean and well stocked. Awesome pool and fenced in areas. Quiet and relaxing with abundance of wildlife. Close to shopping. Only 2 minor issues were microwave in main house not user friendly or it's inop. Other was tv in guest house not able to view programs.

True desert living at its finest

Such a private and quiet spot. Beautiful view of 2 mountain ranges as well as watching all the wildlife. So many quail, dove, pigeons and rabbits as well as an occasional coyote and hawk. Too many outdoor seating areas to count! Beautiful antique Mexican furnishings really added ambiance. The kitchen was very well stocked and we enjoyed cooking in every day. Can’t wait to visit here again.
