The location and the amenities here are hard to beat! The host was very nice and responsive, but the word we kept using throughout our stay was “inconvenient.” There are lots of little things that if they were done could make this place spectacular. Some quick examples are mirrors in the bedrooms, somewhere to put clothes away, a water dispenser, a better clean prior to check in, etc. While we understood that the water was safe to drink it had a very strong taste, so we found ourselves driving into town for drinking water. We also had to clean all the dishes before we used them to get off any old grease or bugs. We were also missing little things that we just assumed would be at the house, but ended up having to drive back into town for like paper towels and trash bags. The pictures from the listing appear to be older because everything has been painted more neutral colors now. Overall we loved the location for the incredible sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing, but the house itself left plenty to be desired.
