« Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy. The room was really clean and the decor was quirky and bright. It's a lively night spot (for a little town) so it wasn't the quietest place to sleep, but good value for money. »

« Loved the secluded location within walking distance of the southern end of Lake Windmere. The cottage was smart and very clean, and well equipped, but we were stumpted on how to adjust the settings on the upmarket oven (a manual in kitchen drawer would have helped). We found that we had to be vigilant about the step in dark slate floor between bedrooms and kitchen/lounge (we used a bit of white cardboard to visually remind ourselves.) Had a great stay at The Bothy, we highly recommend it »

« A new, sparkling clean and well equipped luxury lodge. The owners were extremely helpful and were on hand should we have needed them. They had even left some little extras for us which made the whole experience feel extra special. A perfect coupes get away and we will definitely be back. »

« Excellent stay in a quiet location »

« Not a great start when, immediately after arrival, a tap comes loose and starts pouring hot water over the bathroom floor. Now, things like things happen, we are all used to minor crises happening at home and it is what you do about it that matters. In the case of Graythwaite, what they did was very little! Despite repeated calls to the help lines, we never got a response (answer phone only on both lines and no response to text messages). The original fault was given a temporary fix with the...

« We had a lovely few days in this quaint cottage. There is everything you need and very close to the village pub, where they let us park our car, as not really ideal outside the cottage. Will definitely return if we go back to the Lake Distruct. »
