« This place has the potential to be great, but it is neglected by the owners. It says it overlooks a lake, but it is a stagnant pond covered with algae. The hammock collapse while I was relaxing on it. The only did not turn on at night but came on during the day. The tipi itself is really nice and the bed was comfortable. Be sure to bring your own bedding! »

« Great location. Difficult parking unless the host were to park their car on the street when guests are there. Good small, cosy room. Comfortable bed and clean. Be prepared for noise. Must be impervious or bring earplugs. Family noise & sound travels from overhead. Use of any water triggers noisy flush pump day and night. Other mechanical noises above the bed. Omission: Wasn't enough ground coffee to use the coffee machine. Very nice host. We enjoyed the location. »

« Exceptional all the way around! The Alander is a great place to unplug and reset. The ease of checking in/out, friendly and supportive staff, beautiful rooms with thoughtful amenities, comfy/cozy bed linens, hot shower with phenomenal water pressure, I could go on and on. Complimentary room amenities along with breakfast on Saturday and Sunday that is well beyond what most properties offer and more than Substantial enough to get you going for a day of hiking on nearby picturesque trails.
