The hotel has lots of style, with unique art on every wall! Easy walking access to dining and murals and views, if you have strong legs! The staff is exceptional for attention, advice and help with reservations. It is very quiet. We extended our stay. Sunbathing is good, but the pool is very small. The rooms are large, with traditional furniture and very good beds and showers.

Decepcionante
De hotel boutique só tem o nome. Selecionamos o hotel com base no que ele dizia oferecer: conforto, estacionamento, piscina, boa localização e café da manhã. Realmente tem estacionamento e a localização é excelente, mas de resto foi decepcionante. Ao chegarmos nos informaram que o café da manhã era das 8h às 10h, pois bem, no dia seguinte, após uma noite ruim pois o ar condicionado não funcionava e tinha alguma coisa que fazia um barulho de motor em algum outro quarto o tempo todo, fomos ao café as 8h e para nossa surpresa não tinha nada e nos falaram que seria só às 9h. Sem contar que a piscina, segundo o próprio funcionário do local, não é utilizada pois é muito fria e está na sombra de várias árvores (ou seja, serve só pra foto!). Pra completar a limpeza do banheiro deixou muito a desejar e as toalhas de banho do quarto estavam rasgadas. Pagamos caro para algo ruim.

This hotel is a lot older and shabbier than it looks online. We were given a room facing the cliff, so no view either. Still enjoyed our stay due to the great location. The town of Valparaiso is quirky and fun, this hotel is in perfect location to walk the lanes of restaurants and bars. There were some great restaurants in the town, had fantastic food, wine and pisco sours!

Segunda vez excelente, felicitaciones!!
Las habitaciones lindas, locación perfecta, buen estacionamiento, el servicio es espectacular, cercano, muy amable. Amaro y cristopher hasta nos ofrecieron sus propios paraguas para que no nos mojáramos, reservaron restaurantes, nos facilitaban copas y platos cada noche para picotear algo con vino en el living de hotel, fue perfecto. Fuimos un grupo de 8 amigos y familia y todos felices!!

My room was very beautiful and comfy. There was a problem with Aircondition, when it was turned on , it made a terrible sound in the bathroom. I had to turn it off, even some times the room was very warm. Otherwise staf was very friendly and helpful. My mobile was stolen the day before my departure and the receptionist (the guy with gray hair) helped me to call mobile provider and block my SIM card, as I do not speak Spanish. The young girl working there even she did not speak English , but she was very nice and friendly. I would say I had a good time there and thanks to the staff.

This hotel is a converted great house. There is fabulous art throughout the property. The problem is the rooms lack amenities expected in a 4 or 5 star hotel. No tissues, washcloths, clock or charging station. Excellent staff and breakfast. Hotel is down 30 stairs from the street: a problem when you must carry them up to the street.

La Limpieza está bien. Sin embargo, las instalaciones del hotel no sincronizan con su precio, las habitaciones son cómodas, pero no ofrecen particularidades o características especiales que justifiquen el precio de la estadía. El hotel está bien ubicado. El personal es muy amable, cuando llegamos a nuestra habitación tuve que solicitar cambio ya que se encontraba justo bajo la recepción, por lo cual el ruido del constante tránsito de personas hacía imposible descansar ahí.

We had to stay outside for the night!
The hotel was closed during the night and I had to wait until 5am to be able to enter! I stayed out all night with tramps. Luckily for me they were nice with me. Before going out the reception confirmed we can come back at any time in the night... The next day, the hotel apologized and promised us to pay back USD 100 of the night. I had to let my banking details but they never paid me back and lied to Hotels.com be saying the story isn't true. I recommend you to avoid the place.

Escapada a Cerros Concepcion y Alegre
Queríamos conocer los barrios turísticos del cerro Concepción y Alegre, por lo que seleccionamos este Hotel para pasar una noche y fue un acierto. Habitación amplia y cómoda, decorado con una hermosa pintura. Todo el hotel es una galería de arte. Tiene una terraza amplia para tomar el sol con vista al cerro y una pequeña piscina. No tiene vista al mar, solo al cerro, sin ser linda es la postal típica de Valparaiso. El desayuno es bueno y abundante y el personal muy amable. La ubicacion es muy buena, caminando se puede llegar a todos los puntos de interes, ademas tiene estacionamiento, cosa que es muy valorada en este sector. Lo recomiendo de todas maneras!!!

The room was great and I love the painting and artistic side of the hotel. We took a superior room, with a great view that was nice an large. There was no water...well, each morning we had to ask for the water to be turned on. It seems really over-priced. There was basically one staff person -- the same person -- who was responsible for the place while we were there; he was helpful.

stayed here fore several days recently. Got off to a very rough start with the check in since there is NO WAY to find the place with a car and nobody was answering the phone. It wall worked out and the next day I received a heart-felt apology from the owners. If you plan on driving ot the hotel, let them know in advance and make sure you can use your phone in Chile. The hotel is decorated with beautiful art, each room with a different piece and most from different artists. Many of the rooms have beautiful views. The bathrooms are small and during my stay, the hot water for the shower was not very hot. There is no central heat or central air in the hotel. This was a problem the first morning and I got some lame excuse from the woman in reception about their only being one heater for each floor and I could not have heat in both my room and the breakfast area. A nice young man helped me after this. If they really don't have a heater for more rooms, this could be a big problem if the hotel were busy. For hot days, they only have fans for the rooms. I don't know how hot it gets in Valparaiso, but I am assuming there are times when it can get quite hot. For this reason, I would not recommend the hotel in the summer. The breakfast is quite good. Coffee is very good. The staff in the hotel, with the exception of the first day issues, was wonderful. Helpful, nice, friendly. All in all, I liked the hotel. I do think it's a bit overpriced for what you get, but I would recommend it.

Had a great time at this hotel! The hotel was a new renovation of a historic old building in a great part of Valparaíso. Each room is stylishly made over by a different local artist. I LOVED my room. There are fantastic bars, restaurants and shops all in the area, within blocks. And the historic Plaza Sotomayor and Port of Valparaíso are just a 15-minute (downhill) walk away!

Panameños en Chile: EXCELENTE ESTADÍA!
Fui con mi esposo, somos de Panamá y primera vez en Valparaíso. El hotel es una casa antigüa muy bien restaurada, acogedora y muy bien ubicada. El personal muy atento y servicial. Al momento del check-in tuvimos un problemita con la tarjeta de crédito por ser extranjeros, pero el señor muy amablemente nos condujo hacia un cajero y asunto resuelto. El desayuno completo y riquísimo. Muy recomendado y definitivamente volveríamos.

Buenisima atención, hotel muy bien cuidado, seguro y con estacionamiento. Las personas que lo atienden son demasiado amables, preocupandose siempre que uno pase la mejor estadía hasta en el más minimo detalle... volvería sin dudarlo, el mejor lugar para alojarse en Valparaíso.
