„Great and friendly Family run hotel with great atmosphere in an lovely renovated medival mansion. The hotel is a little bit of the main touristic spots, but great locations can be reached by car.“

„The area was gorgeous and the view could not be beat. We made fresh orange juice and lemonade from the citrus trees, walked in the vineyard and cork forest, and enjoyed the quiet. The downside was the drive- it was a bit far from town and needs to be driven in daylight- do not attempt at night (single lane, tight curves, no guardrails, very rural). The house was spacious but could use some upgrades.“

„The tour around the town is really interesting, if you get the opportunity to do the private tour I’d highly recommend it, we even went into backyards to check on the almonds drying, and picked figs off the tree to eat. So relaxing and quiet. Dinner and breakfast in the Restaurant was delicious and the service brilliant, The apartment has subdued lighting which fits with the room but might not be enough for everyone, we would stay here again if in the area.“

„Quinta Bemboa is an oasis. The fruits and herbs including apples, limes, cherries and the entire herb garden was amazing. Jorge and Claudia encouraged us to pick our own. The property is secluded offering spectacular views of the valley on hiking trails all in a peaceful and tranquil setting. „We stayed at this property during the first week in October. There were 7 of us ranging in age from 40 to 73. The property is beautiful and has everything you need. Each bedroom has an attached bathroom. The pool is wonderful. There are not a lot of restaurants in the area, and you need to have transportation to get to them. We opted to have our host, Ana, arrange to have a chef prepared our meals for the 2 nights we were there…food with wine paring. The meals were fabulous! Think about this as ...

„This house was extremely comfortable for our group of 10. The beds were amazing and every bedroom has an ensuite luxurious bathroom. It is complete with well- equipped kitchen and a care taker that provides an ample continental breakfast every morning. Communication via vrbo and what’s app were perfect and informative. The piece de resistance are the sweeping views of the Duoro. All glass door throughout give you a view you will not forget. Highly recommendm.“

Wir waren mit 3 Paaren dort sowie einmal mit Kleinkind, Anfang November. Das Haus ist eine Mischung aus Schloss und Museum mit so vielen Details, insgesamt 5 Schlafzimmern, 3 unten, 2 oben, wovon eins im Obergeschoss 2 Einzelbetten hat- und oben ist es nicht ganz so stilsicher wie unten.
