"I will get negatives out of the way first, the listing says this is a working dairy farm however there is just a few cows and one pig. The grandchildren were looking forward to learning and watching milking etc but there was no opportunity to do this. "This was absolutely what we wanted, a nice quiet place - the garden is so big it felt like our own secluded woodland. Nice countryside nearby - try Cleres, Pavilly, and the wooded valleys locally. Rouen's a short drive, lots of other charming places only a little further away.. If you don't speak any French I expect Sandrine's enthusiasm and welcoming approach will still sail through the language barrier. Loved it."

We loved the parking and private access via the bridge running over the river Vienne passing by the side of the property. Well placed for visiting the coast - Veulle Les Roses a lovely village and well worth a visit. Just over 2 hours from Calais so useful to break a journey."

"The house is a large, beautiful gite with everything we required for our stay; good facilities, clean and a well maintained pool on a daily basis. The property is situated on a hill side allowing for unspoilt scenery in the sunshine. The owners were incredibly helpful, had very speedy responses and allowed us to book on the day! Keen to meet our needs on arrival and could be contacted throughout the stay. Pavilly, a small town is 4km in distance with a supermarket, garage, pharmacy etc....

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful property in an outstanding area. You do need a car to get anywhere though as the village is much further than we thought. We would highly recommend the restaurant in Val-deSaane. However, we have one major complaint. On arrival we had to pay 300 Euros for a security deposit which is not written in any paperwork - it left us very short of cash for our holiday. Can someone explain to us what would happen if we travelled cashless as a lot of people now do ?...
